Referees - Just a thought

just though i would throw an argument open to everyone on this forum. i watched the real-madrid-valencia game on sunday and with real 1-0 down they received a somewhat dubious 90th minute penalty. it begs the question of whether referees favour the bigger teams or not in the modern game. there are obvious examples to back this argument up and there are also some to argue against it. what do you feel? are the smaller clubs at a disadvantage?

just thought i would say, Valencia are not a small team!!

they are currently 2nd and 2 points behind Madrid :)

smaller in comparison to real madrid (amount of money spent). they were also playing at the bernebau. maybe it was'nt a good example. i'm more concerned about refereeing in this country.

well now your talking, why won't they take a few tips from the rugby super league and start using video evidence to spot vital decisions!!

of course it will drag matches on for that extra 5-10 minutes but is that really such a waste, when your team are getting wrongly accused of handball in the final minute of an FA cup semi-final!!

who will be moaning then?.........exactly!!  :D
