It says a lot about the state of European football that he's another one I haven't heard of and I don't remember seeing him in the world cup. I take it this means there will be no striker coming in then?

Raúl José Trindade Meireles (born 17 March 1983 in Porto) is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays for Liverpool F.C in the Premier League.

Meireles plays as an all-around central or defensive midfielder.

we have 6m still to spend... 4 gone on konchesky.. we can still buy a striker for 2m
