point is, they look like a really well-oiled machine this Chelsea team, and that our former player has opened his scoring for his new club. remind me to remind you of this comment the next time Liverpool beats some lowly opposition by a similar scoreline  :;):

football is seriously pointless, all the top teams get all the decisions, us included... its just become the WWE, all business and entertainment, no actual skill and sportsmanship anymore.. im bored of the premier league already to be honest

Lol stupid mancs. Having being in the lead TWICE and they still didnt win, not to mention the penalty. With Scholes, Giggs and Owen on the pitch they chose Nani to take the penalty. And idk why do you guys disslike Zamora that much. He was at his best last season and could be this season too.

They'll be easily on 15 points out of there opening 5 games.

PREM A Wigan Athletic
PREM H Stoke City
PREM A West Ham United
PREM H Blackpool

Their fixtures seem a bit too cushy for my liking, Stoke at home and the rest are SERIOUS relegation candidates.

I'm off to have a quick look and see if any other Premiership champion, as Chelsea could end up being, has played three teams subsequently relegated in their opening five fixtures.

In 01/02 Arsenal played all three promoted sides and two of the three relegated sides in their opening nine fixtures.

In 02/03 Man Utd played two sides who ended up relegated in their opening three fixtures.

In 05/06 Chelsea played two promoted sides and two sides who ended up relegated, one side (Sunderland) fitting both parameters, in their opening five fixtures. They did the same in 06/07, except in their opening three fixtures and Watford being the up-down side this time.

Wigan could well be on their way down, WBA have never finished higher than 17th in the Premiership, so its almost a shame they aren't playing Blackpool third game in............................. Chelsea could quite easily better that Arsenal start by playing three relegated sides and two promoted sides in their first five fixtures.

Thats some crazy stats!  The thing is... winning matches early on gets the team confident regardless of the opponents and its strange how it seems to work in Utd and Chelsea's favour. :D

Under Rafa... we NEVER opened the season at Anfield.  The last 2 times we started the season at Anfield, it has been against Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.

other opening day opponents have included Spurs away twice, Aston Villa away, Sunderland away, Shef Utd away.
