My son has just received a signed T-shirt as a present, he's a liverpool fan although he's not too familiar with past players .. the T-Shirt is Johnson No. 16 ... we've been told this player died of leukemia (?) and the shirt was worn at a charity match, the signatures are hard to decipher as well (we were told Owen wore the shirt, one signature does look like his)... can any one shed any light on this for us ??

Thanks

ledzep1,I have to correct on your statement about Ray Kennedy.Thankfully the great man hasn't died of leukemia, much to his and I'm sure his family and friends relief.
He actually attended a celebration gala dinner in Liverpool on September 29th,to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first British club to retain the European Cup.
Many of the stars of the Wembley victory over Bruges in 1978 were their, amongst the 500 people who attended.Ray Kennedy recieved the warmest reception, after he he was driven down from his home in the north-east by his son Dale for the reunion.
"Razor" has spent the last 18 years battling Parkinson's disease. His ex room-mate and one of his best pals Jimmy Case was there.Last year Jimmy Case drove from Southampton to the North East to collect Ray for the 1977 European Cup celebratory dinner and then took him home the next day.

that is craig johnsons T shirt that he wore at wembley in the charity shield under his real liverpool shirt ,it was his last game before he started making predators boots so the whole team signed it for him , apparantly because its so rare and has a lot of meaning its worth about £250,000.

Merry Xmas and good luck

I dont think it was Craig Johnson who had leukemia, it was his sister supposedly, thats why he retired to look after her.
This information may not be correct though
