Remember when Rafa introduced the Zonal Marking System? After a couple of games we conceeded a lot of goals from set pieces and some laughed at the Zonal Marking System. Here we are 6 months later still using the system but conceeding less goals. What does that mean?

It means that it takes time for things to happen. Are we perfect with the Zonal Marking? No but we've gotten a hell of a lot better with it.

The point of this thread is to reminds those who doubt that you can not expect miracles. In order to reach success [Chelsea is an exception] you must work your a$$ off. You got to start somewhere.

What happens this season will help Rafa next season. Basically this season is a pre-season for our next season.

Yeah i felt this was an issue that could have been brought up in the why shanks should have been sacked.  Near the end of the article it discusses how zonal marking has become a reliable system that Rafa can rely on.
