I can see it now...

He's had a shocker....sack him.....he was great for Leeds.....should have gone for Cudicini....blame GH....blame Traore...... :Oo:

LOL... very funny, but unfortunately probably true.

Lets hope that when he does (all keepers do) have a mare we all cut him some slack and remember he is only young.

I don't know much about him but he is having some great things said about him.

Has he been playing at leeds as regular number 1? if so then good. I know nothing about the lad. I would have loved Shay Given or Robinson to come but hopefully this guy is as good as some seem to rate him.

I don't think Kirkland will ever cut it injury wise, if he is this injury prone at such a young age then his body won't be strong enough. I can't think of any player who was injuried on and off for about 3 years and then come good. I do hope I'm wrong though as I do rate him.

Dudek cannot hack big games, you don't mess up at Anfield against Manure 3 seasons in a row, it cannot be a coincidence.

Don't want to appear to be a knocker and I ask this question out of innocent curiosity:
Why is Carson not playing in Leeds 1st team ?

I think this is very good news. The most interesting thing will be what Dudeks reaction will be....Wonder if he will flip like that German Porn Star of a keeper at the @rsenal  :D

Well when dudek lost his starting spot he didn't flip out.  He waited and when he stepped up his performance against Tottenham in the Carling Cup.

He is only 19 and thought of as one for the future, so probably will not be introduced in the near future.

Thats a fair point MrBeni but if he's good enough he is old enough!
And i dont really have much confidence in Dudek at the moment do you?
I cant see a reason why he wouldn't start he has played at this level already at the likes of old trafford and against chelsea so i dont think he will be overwhelmed by southampton!
We will see, i just hope that he answers our long term problem of having a safe pair of hands at the back!
Its been a long time since we had some of them!

I have read that he plays in the reserves, but had an outstanding game against Manure last season.

It's official, The Official Barclays Premiership website and LFC.tv have confirmed it.

CARSON SET FOR LIVERPOOL MOVE
Leeds United's young goalkeeping star Scott Carson should join Liverpool in the next 24 hours.
Carson is heading to Liverpool’s Melwood training ground for a medical after turning down a similar offer from Barclays Premiership leaders Chelsea.

Liverpool's head of press Ian Cotton confirmed on official club website www.liverpoolfc.tv: "We have agreed terms with Leeds for Scott Carson. He will come to Liverpool today for a medical and to discuss personal terms."

It is thought the England Under-21 international has been tempted by the increased first-team opportunities available at Anfield.

Jerzy Dudek’s high-profile errors and Chris Kirkland’s latest long-term injury mean the Merseysiders can offer more chances to impress than available at Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho can choose from two of the Barclays Premiership’s best stoppers in Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini, and plenty of other youngsters as back up.

The 19-year-old would have been out of contract at Elland Road this summer, and after an initial bid was flatly rejected by Leeds, it is understood Liverpool have significantly upped their offer.

Leeds spokesman Bryan Morris said: “We wish Scott the very best at his new club.

“He has proven himself to be a top-class keeper during his time at Leeds United and we are sure he will continue to impress at Anfield.

“His steady nerve in pressure situations and his professionalism on and off the pitch will ensure he has a bright future ahead of him.”

With the Championship side facing administration, the cash will come as a much-needed boost, even if manager Kevin Blackwell is losing another of the club’s promising young players.

After savouring Premiership football last season with Leeds, playing and distinguishing himself against Manchester United and, coincidentally, Chelsea at a time when former goalkeeper Paul Robinson was suspended, Carson would like to shine again at the highest level.

Should Carson pass the medical, and it is anticipated there will not be any problems, he will become Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez’s first signing from outside Spain.
