Are you having a laff?

What is wrong with FA Cup? FA Cup is one of most famous cup in the world and there are alot of people from all over the world always dreaming to win the FA Cup.

I remember Nobby Solano who used to play for Barcode team, he said that playing in the FA Cup Final always be dream to play when he was a little boy. He was very honured to played in the final of FA Cup.

FA Cup is one of most oldest cup in the world, I love to see Liverpool to win the FA Cup this season and the future.

I think it is THE oldest cup competition isnt it ? Its not just about  getting in the champions league  or the EUEFA cup .

The FA cup is tradition in its purest form ,the first game i can ever remember  is the 1971 FA cup  when we lost to Arsenal and that t!t Charlie George thought he  was christ .My dad  was in bits that day , went out and got p!ssed  (any excuse  :D  )

The FA cup brings back many memories ,good  and bad  , to criticise its existence is to me , to  not understand the meaning of the game

Maybe your new years resolution could be to actively try to engage your brain prior to these little outbursts.

I wouldnt say its like the Carling Cup, I still wouldnt mind a FA Cup victory although qualifying for the Champions League is more of a priority nowadays

So, you want to see Liverpool do not have any trophies this season then?

I am sure all of Liverpool fans love to see any trophies this season without winning any trophies this season.

But you sound to me that you are not keen if Liverpool win FA Cup this season, that's my opinion...no offence.

it's not that i dont want to see us winning it. i just think that we should concentrate on the league and cl if we want to become a force in europe and serious contenders for the league. besides, our squad is thin enough as it is. i would wait for us to have a good big squad and enough quality to push for the title(maybe in a few seasons)before we risk our best players in the fa cup

Yes, you have made some of good points...but I cannot see Liverpool to win the league before 3 years. We need plenty of players for the squad so we can win the league in next 3 years. It is going to be very difficult for us but we will get there.

£2m in prize money, plus a healthy split of the television and radio money, not to mention that gorgeous old trophy.

Meanwhile, we'll have already accrued at least £700,000 on the way to the final. That'll be 7 weeks salary for Gerrard come next summer.  :D

Next question...?

(all the figures from http://www.thefa.com/TheFACu....83.htm, incidentally)

Not to mention live worldwide exposure to billions around the world that a cup final appearance brings which in turn can bring in more money which can buy those players who can achieve your league and CL dreams. Oh and just that little thing about it being the best domestic cup competition in the world

to be honest, the fa cup is a crediable cup to win, and its a bonus if you win it, rather than actually setting a target to win it, would be nice to win it again saying its rb's first season
