If it's anyone it will be Chelsea. Houllier has left a mess, if he had not spent so much money on players such as Diao and Diouf it would had been a different story as we would had brought more players this summer.

Benitez is still the man for the job to bring us back what we need. Rome wasn't built in a day and as sure as hell won't be now. We've waited for 15 years, we can wait more.

I think buying Kewell was like opening the Pandora's box. He was good for a short amount of time and now he is totaly out of form to the point that we may not even be able to sell him.

What I don't understand is why Le Tallec hasn't been brought back. I can understand leaving Diouf at Bolton, but TLT looked the business in those first couple of pre-season games. Christ, even Cheyrou would be worth having on the bench given the injuries we've got.

Yes he also brings balls blazing over the goal when it should be back in the net.

Garcia will be out for 3-4 weeks. 4-5-1 formation it is now. Put Gerrard right behind the striker w/ Biscan,Alonso,Riise and Warnock in the midfield.

Its always most dark before dawn breaks.
It was always going to be a tough year even before the injuries, Owen's  late move and lack of luck with the ref's whistles compounded the situation
Hopefully the tough times will prove the spur to make the team a better one.
At the very least it will show how good a manager we have

even after all this matches.. we can really see how good the manager is.. and should trust him... afterall.. he is the gaffer and knows more than we do.

but what about the physios?

i know a broken leg/toe/whatever is an accident. but 2 torn hamstrings/thigh muscle injuries in the space of a week? weaknesses can be spotted early and preventative treatment given or players rested. we DO have cover for people like garcia.

anyway - just throwing the cat amongst the pidgeons and could be talking out of my a*se!
