New 'keeper?

I have always stood by Jerzy Dudek, but hes getting more and more unreliable, as is Kirkland regarding injuries.

After watching the highlights of Spurs yesterday, i couldn't help but wonder why Liverppol didn't go after Paul Robinson. Hes only gone and reignited my love for him to play for us, we should offer Spurs Dudek for Robinson, and possibly some cash if they are reluctant, which im guesing they would be. I would break the bank for him!

Anyway, i think its time to focus on a new 'keeper, no matter who it may be, as long as hes better than our current. I do still think Dudek is great, but if we can get better, then go for it.

I hope Benitez is taking this in.

Yep you are right, there are other Dudek threads. But this one isn't about Dudek, its about our keepers in general.

Besides, if we offered cash for Robinson, how much would he be?

I don't think he would cost that much, do you know how much Spurs paid for him? I cant remember, but i don't think it was much at all.

Hes only been at Spurs five minutes....they're hardly going to sell him so soon.  Anyway, I reckon Kirkland should be given a chance to make the position his own.

Kirkland is too injury prone in my opinion. Do you know hes injured at the moment with back trouble?

I have also seen a player bought and sold before he even played a game, better still, he had only arrived at the club and was there for hours. It was a Premier league team, cant remember who though.

I say we chase Robinson, id hate to see him play in a solid defence. He was made to look ****** at leeds, but you could still see his ability and talent shinning through.

spurs wont sell him..they only just got him last summer! and by the time he is avalible he'll probably be england first choice and his price tag wont be 2.5m anoymore..it'll be at least 7m!

In 1980 Arsenal bought Clive Allen from Crystal Palace and sold him to QPR before he played a game.

We shouldn't buy Robinson, if we were to change keepers we should get Cudicini cos he's mint and seems like he's out of favour at Chelsea at the moment :;):

Possibly, had thought about him too. But i definitely dont think Chelsea would sell him, i suppose its probably the same with Spurs, but i thought we could offer them Dudek.

Whats the rush ? ???  Dudek wasn't at fault for the goal yesterday anyway.........

All keepers make errors and Dudek's were highlighted the season before last particularly against Man U but people conveniently forget he then went on to win the Man of the Match in the Worthington Cup final against the Mancs.

It's the nature of the position and Dudek conceded just 2 goals more than Howard last season.

Sometimes after games we always have to have a villian ???

So Dalglish you've noticed it too, somebody always seems to find some player to pick on after the game.

Dudek costs us points. Consistently.

We should make an offer for Cudicini.
