Truth is without bribes the World Cup wouldn't be held anywhere apart from Europe and South America. Although the labour conditions for workers making the stadiums in Qatar seemed pretty appalling.

I'm actually really looking forward to a winter World Cup. End up spending a fair amount of time at home in front of the TV at the time of year anyway so will probably watch quite a few games.

We play Strasbourg tonight at Anfield. Those who didn't start yesterday and some youngsters will make up the team.

You’d think a behind closed doors friendly would have been the better option than expecting fans to travel and fork out cash etc for a glorified kids game.

In terms of spectators, it's really aimed at local families. For every adult ticket you buy, you can get 3 free tickets for under 16s. So a dad can go and take his three kids along for a total of £27. Most people going will probably be families who are unable to get tickets to go to Anfield during the season.
