I think they have had more than that this season, I remember a couple of offsides and a “penalty” or two.

The pressure on them will be huge when they play Burnley away and we'll ready be top after beating Watford.

The Pep meltdown is going to be glorious.

I think the game at the Etihad is actually coming too soon. Anything can happen in that game, it's very possible that we might even lose and all this catching up and the pressure we've piled up upon them would be for nothing. If we had a few more games to play before that match then maybe they would have succumbed to the pressure and dropped down, if we ourselves kept winning. Now they just have to play Burnley before us and if they win that and then at least draw against us then they'll get their confidence back while ours will drop IMO.

Also, after this weekend there's an international break :glare: , just as we are hitting top form while City are in a bit of a decline. Form can pretty much reset after an international break so it couldn't have come at a worse time.

The Wolves game and the Arsenal game are among the more blatant examples of their "luck" this season, apart from the Everton game of course. That's at least 6 points won thanks to their "luck". There've been others but let's not count those. There's also our "unlucky" match against Spurs while City haven't had anything similar to that.

Benfica in the quarters and Villarreal/Bayern in the semis. Could have been a lot worse.

I wrote the same in the match thread but I feel this post is more adequate here, especially with City's result right now :D

I have to say this is definitely the best LFC team I've seen in my life and maybe even up there with the best teams ever.

Having said that, I am slightly worried that it may not last long since the only teams that are certain to remain among the best in the following years are those with the deepest pockets, and we are certainly not among those. As a result I feel anxious for us to win as many titles as we possibly can right now because this team simply deserves it. Our biggest and maybe even only rivals are an abomination that shouldn't exist and I am worried that only because of them, years from now this team might not be remmembered as one of the best and get the reccognition it deserves.

This is a great team, one of the best ever like I said, but I hope we'll have just a little bit of luck and beat the abomination that is Man City to the PL title, because this team deserves to have as many titles as possible and claim its place in history.

I don't think Klopp is willing to risk players like Elliott, Oxlade, Jones, Minimino or Origi in this run in unless there is any significant injuries.

He's gonna stick with the 4 Center Mids with Milner coming on for experience.

And I think Klopps really happy just rotating the 5 upfront with Diaz/Mane/Salah starting the bigger games.

It's frustrating because I can't see City dropping any points and they'll have won 3 Premier league titles to our 1 title but only 1 point separating us in them 4 seasons.

Just a shame really, potentially could miss out on another title by minute margins. I agree this team we have deserves a lot more, just hoping we can snap UCL and FA cup if we miss out on league.

I think the only chance City has of dropping points is around the CL semifinals with Real. In between they play Leeds away, that to me is the best chance even though I think slim.

They have West Ham away and Wolves away, those are the two matches I think they could drop points.

Let's hope they do. At the minute they look like winning the rest of their games, it would be harsh for us to miss out narrowly again and frankly boring for them to win their 4th in 5 years.

Both WH and Wolves lost today, I was hoping they would have something to play for when they played City but it looks like they won’t.
