What a race this is turning into !

Could Stevie G help Liverpool win the Premiership ? !
Correct me if I'm wrong .
If we win our two remaining games and Stevie G's Villa can win or hold City to a draw the title is our's  :buttrock

Still a chance but really don't want us to get our players knackered before the final. Klopp definitely should rotate.

I was thinking City would win today so we'd put a League Cup team out against Southampton but this changes things. We must win on Tuesday and put the pressure on for the final game of the season.

Really fecked off. Watched City losing 2-0 then had to leave, just found out it finished 2-2.

I read this crazy scenario where City lose 2-0 to West Ham and we beat Southampton 4-0. Then we win 2-0 against Wolves and they beat Villa 2-1 that would have meant we were tied for everything and would have forced a playoff match for the title. When they were losing 2-0 I thought it was going to happen.

If we were after goal difference we probably would've knackered out the lads vs Southampton. It would've almost been a similar scenario to Palace 13/14.

Anything is possible but I wouldn't be surprised if City smash Villa 5-0. Once they get a couple of goals Villa will give up. I just hope Villa give them a good go. Imagine the scenes if SG and co pull off a result, medals will be in the post lol.

If all goes to plan it will be remarkable to think City were just a penalty kick away from being Champions lol.

Still all unlikely, especially with Villa away from home - but not impossible. So our first target is to win away at Southampton. Not as easy as it sounds with our first team knackered or injured. Major rotation is likely depending on how everyone is feeling - can see Robbo, Trent, Hendo, Thiago, Mane all being rested with VVD, Salah and Fab all injured so something like: Alli, Gomez, Konate, Matip, Tsimikas, Milner, Keita, Jones, Diaz, Jota, Taki with a strong bench.

All comes down to bottle and concentration.

We're outsiders. But we have a chance.

And villa will go for City on sunday. It'd be beautiful if Gerrard handed us the title.

Problem is Gerrard is not playing! Vila players on their last game before a nice summer holiday with nothing to play for, away from home… I cannot see them risking injury.  I just can’t see it happening unless a City meltdown. Either way we pushed them all the way yet again.

So it comes down to the final game of the season.

The good thing is we don't need Villa to beat City, a draw will do. I hope this was at Villa park, etihad will be loud with their 5 fans.

If City score a a typical early goal then we are screwed. Time for the ex lfc lads to make their mark and help us win the title.

Villa are playing on Thursday which is a worry.

Forgot about Gary Mac also, quite a few motivators at Villa for us.

A bit strange that Villa play City with two days rest, the premier league really want to help city in any way they can  :glare:

If City can’t win the league with all the advantages they have, Pep should be shot out in the desert.

It will be interesting to see what sort of side Stevie sends out in the midweek.

I was thinking the same thing lol, he can't make it obvious and send his "C team".

Given it's 2 games within a few days he will rotate I guess.

Maybe it is written in the skies but odd how we've got ex lfc lads linked with playing a huge part in landing us the title.

If we do manage to snap the title then 1000% we have been destined for the Quad.

Villa play their last game at home, they will play their strongest team as the players families will be in attendance. I cannot see Villa resting players to beat City. The FA has given City a huge advantage by having their last opponents play three days before they play City. I think it is cynical.
