And when he comes back, how long will it take to be the player he was when he got injured. He’s joining a team in a different place to when he left it.

Not really. He was always due back end of Feb/early March going by what was said after he got injured.

Back training with the team this week so suspect he'll be on the bench on Sunday. I wonder if we might see a switch to a 4-2-3-1 at some point in the next few weeks with Firmino behind Salah and Mane and Jota either side.

Looked bright at the weekend. I'm focusing on the positives (which is why this is my only post)!

What a signing Jota has been. Last summer everyone was banging on about Timo Werner and not a single journalist or Liverpool fan had mentioned Jota's name until the deal was pretty much done. Looked a high fee at the time but turning into a great bit of business.

This is one of my favourite signings of the Klopp era. We were after an attacker and all sorts of names were being put forward by fans and journalists but we randomly and out of the blue sign a player who was right under our noses but no-one really noticed. His goalscoring record is fantastic and he's only 24 so years away from his peak. Great work by Klopp and our recruitment team.

To be fair even Mane and Salah were surprises in terms of what they have become.

A lot of our stalwart players flew under the radar somewhat, at the time of their arrival they weren't earth shattering signings by any means but they went on to become terrific servants to the club (Salah, Mane, Henderson, Robertson, Wynaldum, Matip, Milner etc etc), The club has been unbelievably good at identifying those types of players lately even finding them in relegated teams, let's  hope it wasn't all down to Edwards.

He's proving to be a really good signing and really stepping up to the plate in the absence of Salah and Mane. He's just a nuisance, always shoving, pulling, giving out little kicks. He's like Vardy the way he winds the opposition up.

Took both goals really well tonight.

Looking like a great deal at the price we bought him, good with his right, good with his left and he is surprisingly good in the air too considering his height.

And to think that people we're bitching because we missed out on Werner and got Jota instead! Hit the ground running and hasn't looked back.

People were also bitching we never got Saúl, look how he has turned out for Chelsea.

Anyone else think Jota is is still a way off leading the line for us. Like every game if say Salah was to leave in the summer ?.
He has been good for us in patches and he does provide a good option and depth to the side but without that competition I'm not so sure.

Anyone else think similar?.

Didn't have a great game yesterday but I think he's much improved playing in that number 9 position after struggling there last year. Only Salah has more Premier League goals than him and he's managed to bench Bobby.

He's been great for us so far but for me he doesn't have that "X factor" about him like Salah does for example. He's scoring plenty of goals sure but he's not the type of player to take the game by the scruff of the neck, you know.
