He's 33, there's no way he can get fit enough to place in the EPL and justify his salary.  He should go to Italy where they walk around the pitch for 85 minutes.

If he does leave then I doubt he will choose the premier league for exactly those reasons.

Saying on Sky that he didn’t turn up to training today.
Looks like he wants out.

It turns out Messi was on holiday with his best mate Suarez when Luis got the call from Koeman telling him to pi$$ off. Messi took it very badly and went straight back to Barcelona and told them to pi$$ off instead.

According to Sky he no longer considers himself a Barcelona player, he refused to take a Covid test on Sunday which means he can’t train with the squad even if the club had a way of forcing him to train, apparently Barca are fining him 2 weeks wages. He’s not talking to the club either, his arl fella and agent are acting as intermediaries.
Hard to see a way back for him now. Tbh he had a ‘Im effin sick of this club’ look about him when he traipsed off the pitch after the 4-0 at Anfield. I don’t think things have been right for a while.

It will be either City or PSG, hoping he ends up in France.

Just read his interview and hes more or less saying that he is staying reluctantly

What's the point of keeping him there against his will. He has made them a lot of money over the years and they are just about to start a rebuild under Koeman. That transition would be a lot smoother if a stroppy Messi left.

If City or PSG were willing to fork out about 100 mil then I'd say they would release him quick enough. 700 million buy out clause

I’m glad he’s not going to City though, I know he’s 33 but he would have been very effective for a couple of years especially in a team that dominates the ball like they do, he’s a very underrated passer of the ball, it would have been like facing 2 De Bruyne’s.
