The 2019 departure lounge - who should we move on?

So, who should we leave behind in Madrid?  :D

First team contracts expiring:
Moreno
Sturridge

Players who I'd move on:
Mignolet (huge contract, not good enough)
Clyne (Seems to have fallen out of favour with Klopp)
Lallana (legs have gone and injury prone)
Shaqiri (isn't good enough)

A few will be leaving this summer regardless, with contracts expiring. But who would you sell?

I'd keep Shaq i think he is a good member of the squad and has shown he has got quality.

Yup Clyne will be out Mings will also be sold.

I'd get rid of Lovren he is a liability and buy a quality CB.

Lallana is past it imo and should be replaced.

Agree about Studge/Moreno I'd get rid of them also. Well with their contracts expiring they will be gone anyway. :D

Who should we move on? Absolute priority has to be Red Rum!

Sturridge (out of contract)
Moreno (out of contract)
Clyne (would keep him as back-up personally, but not likely he'll stay)
Lallana (wouldn't surprise me if he stays though)
Mignolet (if we sign a replacement)
Lovren (same as above)
Ings
Ojo
Ejaria
Kent
Camacho

And even Grujic and Wilson

Expect Origi to stay

That's a lot of players, and a lot of money from them. Although some would prefer them to stay, including myself, we could easily get about £20m each from Grujic and Wilson. Lovren should fetch a decent price as well, if we sell him. Would gladly spend all that money on just 2 or 3 players (4 or 5 if Lovren and Mignolet leave as well).

I'd keep Mignolet as we need a back up keeper.

out should be:

Defence:
Lovren  (Useless)

Midfield:
Lallana (Too Old and Injury Prone)
Camacho
Curtis Jones  (Wont break into the first team, no room etc)
Henderson (Unlikely he would be sold, but I don't rate him much)

Forwards:
Sturridge (out of contract)
Origi (I'd still sell him, although he scored some crucial goals and we need a better no 9 option)

Loan Players:
Ryan Kent (the lads 22 and it's obvious no room for him at Anfield in first team)
Grujic
Clyne
Bogdan
Chirivella
Ejaria
Ojo
Harry Wilson
Grabara
Awoniyi

Theres some youngsters amongst that lot, but most of that lot need departing, and then INCOMING we just need about 2, maybe three stella signings. That No 9 decent striker, a good playmaker, and maybe a CB.
Don't need a left back really as MIlner can play there.

Damjan it was a strange deal that will be financially finalised on 1st July. Danny has gone to Southampton for £18m plus £2m potential add ons depending on performance etc. We will also receive 20% of a future sale price if Danny is sold.

As for the rest I don’t think anybody has been left out.

Mingolet - Not good enough and I don't need to see him getting another chance only for the same outcome.
Lovren - Absolutely breeds panic at the back and because he is one of the 5 best defenders in the world he has hit his ceiling  .
Clyne - Good defender imo but for some reason way down Klopps pecking order so has to go.
Milner - I like him but he is getting on and so is his game. I don't want to be looking at a lineup of him Henderson and Gini next season which is what you will see if he remains.

The younger lads are unproven so I hope we don't bin half of them off just because they are easy sales.

Lallana - Sell him as well because he is finished at this level.

I'd keep Milner and Hendo. Purely because you need the experienced heads at times during the season.

Yes I’d keep Milner and Hendo for sure. Lovren is a tricky one because he can go from looking like Franco baresi to Pogo The Clown in the blink of an eye. He gets on well with the boys though and helps keep moral high with his banter, so  I suspect Klopp will keep him around as the court jester. Plus he speaks something like five languages which I guess helps in the dressing room

I suspect Milner will want to stay in the game so he might move into coaching. Keep his experience to motivate the team and gain a very 'sensible' boot room style of trainer. Win-win. Hendo on the other hand wouldn't probably make it as a coach.

All the other lads mentioned can move on, our game has evolved so much in the last 2 seasons that we still have left overs from the last regime.

Lovren isn’t going to leave - he is 4th Choice right now and you will struggle to get a better 4th choice CB

Milner won’t leave , people saying Henderson surely must be joking he also won’t be going

Mignolet I suspect will move on but FairPlay to him he has been it seems excellent around the squad throughout the year and worked well will Alisson

Clyne and Ings will leave

Sturridge will go when contract is up same with Moreno

Wilson and Grujic look like they will go - generate a good amount of funds

Other loan players like Kent , Ojo etc will also leave

Not sure about Lallana as Klopp likes him but think he may have reached the end in regards injuries

That will leave us with a few gaps to fill in squad

Fullback , GK , attacking creative mid and a forward

Suspect Klopp will get a cheap or free GK promote a young lad for the fullback then spend a bit getting a mid and forward

We’d be mad to try and move Milner on. Every season since Klopp has been here he’s ended up playing a crucial role when others have not been available. The guy is a total pro, has never had a serious injury, and every year in pre-season he wins the fitness competition! He will probably play another 3-5 years at PL level and at the very least he’ll be here for the final year of his contract but probably more.
