We can only hope that the club takes it's management strategy as seriously as it does its transfer strategy! I'd like to see Pep Lijnders take over and pray to God that should Klopp go he doesn't take his backroom with him, which is how it's done these days.

Just what can we do to persuade JK that Liverpool is his home and that he is going nowhere in 2024 ???

Not a lot I reckon. I think Klopp will ultimately leave whenever he feels it’s right himself. Don’t think an even bigger contract or a “transfer war chest” will mean a lot to him. He’s already said that when he does leave he won’t be taking another job immediately and I can’t see him going to a PSG or a Real Madrid. Whether he does stay beyond 2024 or not, I’m just happy lapping it up right now. This is strongest group of players we’ve had in the Premier League era and they are led by the sort of manager who only comes along once in a while. Enjoy it while you can lads.

JK will be 56 in 2024 which is still very young when you consider the age of some of his peers. I live in hope that he is enjoying life so much at LFC that he simply won’t want to leave. Juergen is a committed socialist and that possibly gives him an even greater affinity with the City. I live in hope because as you say Eagle the likes of JK don’t come along very often !! I am sure Gerrard would love the job but will he be ready in 2 years ?? Did brilliantly with Rangers. Villa will be a tougher test.

I think it will all come down to Klopp's career aspirations. Does he want another club job? Or a stab at international management?

If klopp is planning to manage the German team one day then I think we might get a contract extension out of him for 2 or 3 years.

However, if he wants one more club challenge, I fear he'll leave at the end of his deal and take a 12 month break before going to Spain.

Don't think he'll ever go to Spain since he doesn't speak the language and language is very important to him. That's what he said I think at least. So with that in mind I don't think he has too many options. He either stays here, manages Germany, or goes to manage Bayern. But going to Bayern, to the Dortmund fans it would be like going to Man United is for us. I think he said he would like to manage Bayern one day but I hope he doesn't and stays true to the Dortmund fans. If he doesn't go there then that leaves him with just the German national team, so maybe we can get him to stay for a few more years. Of course it depends on other things as well, like when he plans to retire etc.

You're right I do think he has previously said he'd find it difficult to manage in a country where he doesn't speak the language and that he is too old to learn a new language from scratch. I have a feeling he'll stay here for a few years longer than his current contract and then after taking some time out either end up at his boyhood club Stuttgart or back to Dortmund.

I think international management would be his chosen route after a sabbatical if he does decide to leave in 2024. However for that to happen the stars will have to align in his favour depending on who is managing Germany at that time. When JK came to LIVERPOOL it is fair to say that we were not in a good place. It was never going to be an easy fix and it took several years to develop a team that became champions of Europe and the League title holders for the first time in 30 years. Both himself and the team that he has created are adored by everybody connected with the club. He has achieved the unexpected and he will be virtually impossible to replace.

Been a bit of talk about his contract running out lately, the yanks completely took the p*ss regarding that European Super League idea but they could redeem themselves somewhat by getting Jürgen to put pen to paper on a new deal. The guy is f***ing irreplaceable.
Pound for pound he is by far the best manager in the world, take the chequebooks away from half of these other managers and they'd be f**ked Jürgen on the other hand would get the Dog and Duck or Red Lion into the European places.

all depends on him in the end.

FSG would want to renew but it's up to him.

would love it if he can extend his stay for another 10 years.

They need to make the man an offer he can't refuse it's as simple as that mate, they bought the club for 300m now largely thanks to Jurgens efforts it was recently valued at 3 billion, someone in Boston needs to get off their backside take some of that equity and stuff it in Jurgens mattress. When I say some of it I mean the next time Jürgen turns over in bed he should be burning his @rse on the lightbulb.

Yakka you should know better than most that money isn’t everything to JK. He is a socialist through and through. Just take a look at the car he drives !! It might be free but most football managers wouldn’t be seen dead in it. Juergen is a rare breed and it’s going to take something a lot more imaginative than money to get him to extend his contract.

Yeah I understand that mate, unlike our owners who would gladly ruin something others hold dear if it meant an extra few quid in their pockets, money is not Jurgen's God.
But in the rarefied air of big business money is how people make gestures and send out signals, it's how the rich communicate with each other.
Making Jürgen the highest paid manager in the world would send a huge signal to him, he knows we aren't a City or Chelsea so for the club to do that would just show how much he means to the people at the top of the organisation. It would show that he means as much to the people at the top as he does to the people at the very bottom like us two.

I’m hoping he will extend, I think he likes that set commitment then he reevaluates, and I think he will leave a vibrant team so may extend. As long as he’s happy then he will stay longer, and he seems happy.
