He seems like the replacement for Couts...
Don't know much about him though, admittedly...

Whoever Klopp thinks is right, as I said in a previous post. Probably some lad from Preston or the top goal scorer from Tranmere who caused a stir this season. You heard it here first...  :rasp

Exhausted waiting for confirmation Fekir is a Liverpool player, like Keita and Fabhino he seems to have a mean streak in him. Caused a riot celebrating his goal against St Ettiene.

Any news on this deal yet!???

Skysports: As Zinedine Zidane once pointed out: "Nabil is an incredible player. He impressed me technically."

I don't think Klopp would break up the front three, I think Fekir will sit behind them in midfield, but can deputise for them. Just like Fabinho he can play in 3/4 positions..

This will be an epic signing, if we can pull this off before the end of the week.

It’s off guys. Need to move this thread back to rumors.

Reports saying he has failed his medical.

Can’t believe it.

Gutted.

Talks with us have "Ended", and he will remain a Lyon player next season!?

Bummer!

Now what!!!???

Hopefully it may still happen after the world cup if we can make a better offer or something. Remember the VVD fiasco? Southampton were going to report us to the FA and the deal looked off, but we still got him in the end.

Hey lads we don't need another Sturridge...... 53 million + 170k a week to sit on the bench.... brave decision to walk away.

Well done Reds.   :buttrock

Zap this thread into oblivion.

Still think he'll be an LFC player before the end of the window through  :nod

Really disappointed this deal has appeared to fall through especially when he was as far as wearing our kit and conducting interviews for LFC tv  :glare:

He might have had a serious injury at one time but seems to have come through it and got his game back to a high level. He has played a lot last season and is now at the W.C so worrying about future injuries is silly imo as any player at any time can suffer a career ending injury. After all didn't we sign Chamberlain who has never managed to complete a full season in his career to date for £40 mil.

Could it be that we tried to use that as leverage to lower the price ?. From what I have read it seems like it was Lyon who pulled the plug meaning we were still interested in doing some sort of a deal.

Sounded like we tried to lower the price after the medical, a ploy that may be successful on occasion but risky and it backfired messing with Lyon.

We do have a chequered history on the transfer front, Yarmelenkos epic negotiation, Loic Remys week long medical, the initial VVD fiasco in Blackpool and reported for tapping up. Sure people will recall more and now Fekir.

When we get it right its very right or just horribly wrong.

From what I've read, we tried to stagger the payments.  The fee was unchanged, we just wanted to reflect the number of games he'd play.  And given his injury record, that isn't unreasonable.

He's done interviews for LFC TV, picked his shirt number and been photographed in our colours. Only a matter of time. Imagine he'll return from the world cup and hand in a transfer request.

Barring a serious medical problem, I can still see this deal happening before August, there could be more to the situation than we are aware.
