I can't see us signing Mbappe, we could probably afford the fee but what type of wage is he on in Paris? Would he have to be willing to accept a significant pay cut? I know Ox did but players doing that tend to be the exception rather than the rule.

I think Mbappe would cost closer to £200m. I think he's currently on 350k a week. I think we could afford that but the wage structure would be messed up and our top players would want to be on similar money. It's what's messed United up to be honest.

I wouldn't pay him one penny more than Mo. If he wants success, then join the party. If not then LFC can't meet his terms.

I think the likes of Mbappe could have the same disruptive influence as the likes of Pogba and Sanchez and that is not totally down to the player. Crazy transfer fees and contracts can be divisive especially when players don't perform consistently and Mbappe probably falls into that category.

What the hell have Bobby Duncan and his agent been upto? Making slanderous allegations against the club and forcing his way out to Fiorentina.

I hope it comes back and Bites him in the butt because he's ruined any chance of playing for this club again.

The agent has been cut out of the deal

Duncan just wanted to play football and his agent went mad on Twitter

Duncan is just as guilty as his agent. He does want to play football but just not here and between him and his agent they engineered his move. His old agent helped facilitate the actual deal because Edwards refused to deal with Rubie but Rubie is still his agent.

Good riddance to both of them.

He’s not the first teenager to ***** up and he won’t be the last. Most footballers grow up in a bubble and don’t seem the smartest or the wisest and seem to rely heavily on their agents. And some agents, like this one, are fast talking wide boys who prey on people who are not that smartest.

I wish Duncan the best but I can’t help but think this is a really bad career move and he’ll end up bouncing around in the lower leagues struggling to have any sort of career. Right now he doesn’t look anywhere near a level where he could play first team football in one of the big 5 European leagues. He should have stayed here this season and developed in an elite environment and then taken a carefully chosen loan move next summer. He ain’t no Sancho.
