Can leaving presented an opportunity to solve the DM position once and for all. If Klopp thinks Fabinho is the answer that's good enough for me. Neither he or Keita will be at the world cup so gives Klopp a full pre-season with them which is a bonus.

Great signing. Proper DM and overnight we'll go from Henderson and Wijnaldum to Fabinho and Keita...HUGE upgrade on Can too...

39m apparently.

Not heard much about him.
We are signing more Brazilians!

Does this mean that the Fekir deal is a no-go?

Depends. I don't know much about Fekir but can he play across the 3 as Well as in midfield? If so he's still a realistic target. Our lack of genuine quality when one of the current 3 disappear is alarming

Yep. He could deputise for the front three as well as midfield.

Similarly, Fabinho can play in a number of positions including defence, or further forward. His ability to win back possession and start counter attacks is supposed to be good.

Only four caps for Brazil though :( read into that what you will.

I hope we get Fekir also, we need more goalscorers, especially if we get injuries

What's clear is we need goals from others in the squad. When Salah went off against Madrid we were up against it. We don't have many goals from the rest of the team. That needs addressed this summer and we're on the way to doing that.

We may have lost a champions league final but we've put ourselves back on the map and players will want to join us. This summer is massive for us.

He's a very good player. Arsenal tried to hijack the deal at the last moment too.

Have a funny feeling that Klopp has his targets lined up and FSG will back him.

Holy Sh*t, what a great sining! Patrick Vieira mark 2 this guy. Tall, strong and robust, good passer as well. Exactly what we needed at DM.

This is a sign of a very good summer trasfer window hopefully. DM down, Forward and Goalie to go (Fekir and Allison?). Anything else, like a CB, would be a bonus for me.

Well he sounds good anyway  :nod

Will admit to never having seeing him play but his wiki says he has had 105 appearances in 3 years for Monaco so that's encouraging. He was also on loan at Madrid B for 2 years so he must have something about him.

He should be a starter which is what we need and he has experience so its a step in the right direction imo.

Welcome to the club lad  :buttrock

Don't know the player except for the fact that he played for Monaco.

Signing a player with a name that ens with "-inho" sounds nice but we'll see...

Wow quick business

Don't know much about him but seems good and versatile. I need to watch some vids of him.

Finally a friggin DM. Well apparently he can play RB aswel.

Few stats i picked up from another platform

Fabinho for Monaco in Ligue 1 in 2017/18:

• Most passes (1,980)
• Most tackles won (112)
• Most aerial duels won (99)

Chipped in with 7 goals and 3 assists too.
