I like the lad but until now sporadic appearances and few goals have cost us a fortune in transfer fee plus salary.  Keep going young man and he could be a perfect No 2 for Bobby.

"Keita ended another well-rounded performance with the second-most tackles, the third-most shots, the second-most chances created, the third-most successful dribbles and a crucial goal that set Liverpool on their way to three points that could be the difference between a second-round game against Barcelona and Dinamo Zagreb."

we actually accidentally signed his boyish looking sister Keira, before rectifying that error in the summer.

Naby has played really well the last two games, unfortunately though that is normally the cue for an injury. Every time he starts to look the part he picks up another knock!

Naby Keita's brother Almamy Keita has died after Guinean club's coach crashes.
Nine dead and 18 injured in accident.

R.I.P. Thoughts are with Naby and all the other families. Tragic news.

I don’t think I can remember anyone at the club who gets injured as much, I wouldn’t be surprised if Klopp pulls him to one side like he did Sturridge and tells him it in in head.

Realistically it's time for him to move on, he doesn't seem suited to not just our style of play but also the EPL.

AOC will definitely figure as the worst sick note in the history of football. His record at Arsenal was terrible. Feel for the lad.

Did Aquilani ever play? None seem worse than him.

Keita stats - in 2.5 seasons he’s completed just six league games ..... this season he’s played more minutes for Guinea than LFC - it’s time for byebye....

I thought Keita was playing quite well yesterday as well but he is undoubtedly ridiculously injury prone. Shaq and Matip are another 2, they aren’t quite as bad as Naby but they aren’t far off. Shaq’s injured again apparently
:glare:
I think footballers are trained to a point these days where their muscles are pushed close to the limit, for some of them it doesn’t take much to take them over the edge.

I think also there is an element of “Sturridgeness” where some players will only play if feeling 100 percent and pull up at the slightest thing. Anyone that plays will tell you that you hardly ever feel 100 percent and you just suck it up and play on (hamstrings are a little different). Some player play on and make do, didn’t Carra play the CL final with a broken foot? Maybe Keita is more in the Sturridge mold than the Carra/VVD mold

Wow! 6 league games in 2 years   Clearly not able for the intensity of the game here. Shaq struggled with injuries his whole career and its no surprise its the same here. Matip deserves the man of steel tag compared to those 2 but still spends far to much time out injured. Don't know why Ox seems to have escaped everyone's lips. Another crock that ain't going to get any better.

At this level no team can afford to have 4 big players out constantly injured like that and expect to still rotate quality in when we have other injuries.

decent player, but someone in the medical dept didn’t do their homework when we signed him. Same with the ox. Hopefully we can get them over the line in one piece come August, and get back most of what we paid in the transfer market, for keita at least.
