It's a wonder there isn't a whole scale revolt at youth level. I mean, if you have a squad of 20+ at U23 level, surely some of them can expect to progress to the first team.
Because if there was a LB who might be ready to provide genuine cover/backup to Robbo next season he would be training full time with the first team squad by now. Adam Lewis is the best LB prospect we have at the club and he still plays for the U18s. None of the LBs who play for the U23s are likely to make it at PL level.

I'm so happy for him.. He's worked his butt off for the team and deserves to be rewarded.

Andy Robertson finished his season last night having played a total of 5,962 minutes of football - an increase of 20% on his previous career high. During this period, he covered more high speed metres than any other footballer in the world.

That's a lot of minutes played so hopefully he gets plenty of rest and time to practice his crossing.

Christ I hope not! He didn't leave the pitch on a stretcher (though to be fair neither did Virgil) and from what I could see he seemed to be putting a fair bit of weight on the ankle as he was walking off and didn't seem to be in too much discomfort so I was hoping it was just a sprain or something.

I cannot see missing a season for torn ankle ligaments unless it came with broken bones and a major operation, the fact he walked off means that is not the case. Probably out for 6 Weeks

Will miss his industry and aggression, he's obviously our first choice at LB. However, I'm happy to see that the "Greek Scouser" may now get a run of games.
Although he doesn't match Robbo in many area's of his game I think Tsimikas is actually equal to if not better than Robbo on the ball and provides better/more accurate crosses when attacking.
Now's a chance for the fella to step up and stake a claim for more starting opportunities.
