Would like to say that Mane has become the man up front.
To be honest I was a bit down on him a couple of years ago, as he seemed a bit jealous of Salah and a bit selfish at times.
But for the last couple of years he has grown as a player to be much smarter and show such good work rate, skill and determination that he has passed both Firmino and Salah
as the best and most consistent performer for us.
If someone of the front 3 is to be sold it better not be Mane...
Salah has a lot to learn by watching him play.

Didn't know where to post this.

Afcon will revert back to the winter next season.

That is absolutely awful news. Losing players for up to 8 weeks is crazy especially when we are contracted to pay them.

F*ck !   Always thought it was a tinpot competition despite the presence of some great players, I understand why eligible players would want to take part, just wish they didn't.

It's bad news indeed ! especially galling is that we lose three players and City will only lose one (Mahrez).

Think Redknapp is right when he says in that article that in future many clubs will think twice before signing African players.

By all accounts, Mané could be a Real Madrid player next year so it might not be our problem. Read somewhere they're potentially going to offer 200M for him...

It will be more difficult replacing him than Salah in my opinion

I don't think Mane would want to leave, he doesn't look like a money grabber at all, and he's already in the best club in the world. The thing is, I think WE might want to sell. £100m plus for a 28-year old, who's price will only go down every year (because of his age)? I think it'll be an offer too good to refuse by the club.

I don't want us to sell Mane but I'd understand if the club wants to. If we were offered £100m plus for Salah I'd sell him, no hesitations. I love him too but it'll be a smart move looking long term.

At 28 he is just in his prime, I wouldn’t consider him old. I think prime for a male in any sport is 28-32 and some extend it by staying fit and also body type is a factor along with injuries. I do agree that his value will start to go down but not his output.

I think this team needs to stay together for another couple of years while replacing the older players like Lallana etc with up and coming young talent. We need to get as many trophies out of this crop as they are the best team in the world, selling now would be too early unless we are replacing them with super talent, which there are not too many.

One of our very best. Disappointed to see him limp off, but god knows he needs a break. Three or four weeks off might not be such a bad thing, as long as he's ready for our CL campaign

Not good at all hope for a speedy recovery. I think this is going to be a common occurrence with many players all over the league now.

At least he has two weeks with the international break to recover.

Considering Thiago got it first and now Mane, I hope we won't have an outbreak in our club. Get well soon.

That’s what I’m concerned about, on Monday everyone was hugging Sadio after he scored against Arsenal, 3 to 4 days later he tests positive for Coronavirus  :lookaround
They both should be alright being young super fit lads but I want to wish both Sadio and Thiago all the best for their recovery.
