We can all have our opinions but ultimately it's Klopps decision to stick with Karius or not.. personally he'd be crazy to stick with him, it's not one or two mistakes we're talking about here, it's constant errors in big games.

We have a team to challenge in all competitions this year EXCEPT for the keeper. If we fail to win something for Klopps goalkeeping ignorance then his head will be for the chopping block.

Klopps 3 years of goalkeeping ignorance cost us on the biggest stage of them all ... it was a massive middle finger told you so moment!!

I thought after that disaster the keeper would be the first position he would be solving.

I'm expecting more howlers this season for sure. And Karius himself knows that any errors will be magnified x 100.If the manager persists with him, then Jurgen has to burden the responsibility of that as well.

Klopp has a plan, one way or the other.

Looks like we are planning a bid for Alisson next week so our prayers might get answered.

Lloris basically did a karius today but it didn’t cost them a trophy... it happens to the best.

Yes... in a way, if the midfield and defence is not dominant enough, the keeper will be under more scrutiny. I remember Peter Schmeichel did some bizarre mistakes but no one really remembered them anymore and only remembers his greatness. I not saying that Karius is good enough for a title challenging side. Just that the keeper position is not our only weakness.

The long and short of it is ,if Karius starts the season as the managers first choice then he should have the backing of the fans ,after all lest we forget his form between the sticks in the chase for fourth place was as essential to our cause as Salah was in banging in the goals.

Yep. 10 cleans sheets from 19 game isn't to be sniffed at. As a fan of course I'll discuss his performances but I won't be using social media, radio phone ins and football forums to insult him.

As I said before in this thread, Karius needs a new start. Preferably at a mid-table club in Germany or Italy where he won't be under the microscope as much as England or Spain. Then, after 2 or 3 solid seasons, he'll be in a position to comeback to a high profile role.

He's not a bad guy or keeper, just loses focus from times to time.

Id be surprised if he left on loan this summer. The signing of Boris's sister is a slap in the face for Migs imo who will now surely move on. Sold preferably. With Ward possibly gone I would think Karius stays as back up to Becker and an appointment from the academy for no 3.

Becker gets the league and Europe. Karius gets the domestic cups and at the end of the season then decide if he is what Klopp wants.

If we put football aside Karius comes over as immature. Shirtless promotional videos in LA to parading wealth on social media beside fancy cars wearing fashionable clothes. If he's going to improve on the pitch then get it right off it. Hard work and humility. That would be my career advice for him. Or get another agent/advisor.
