I wasn't having a go at him mate I was just commenting on how his evening went. Overall I thought he did very well, he is a natural CB playing at LB and doing a very good job of it, imo he just needs to work on his passing a bit that's all.

PS - for a big lad he can't half shift, never mind Bolt and Gatlin I'd like to see a 100m race between him and Moreno.

Best game I've seen him play ,finally seeing shards of why the hype surrounding the lad exists

rumors are that young Joe may have done his back in, apparently the strain of carrying Alexis Sanchez in his pocket all match has left him sore   :rasp

Gomez was withdrawn through an ankle injury sustained whilst playing for England U21's . So we can rule him out of the Spudz game.

Cruciate job by look so lads out a long while.

Real shame for him personally though I feel Rodgers brought him in too early.

Bad news for the lad. He is going to be a good player, hopefully this doesn't hinder his progress too much. He'll spend this season out then will probably be loaned out next season to get games and build his fitness back up.

Could be a long time before we see him in a red shirt again I reckon.

Fking Internationals. Our players drop like flies playing for their countries. Still... not as bad as City losing Aguero and Silva during this international break... they must be livid.

9 months out apparently  :( , misses the rest of the season.
I wish the lad all the best with his recovery.

Very unfortunate  for him and his development.

He should've been nowhere near our starting 11, and I think Klopp knows that, so I don't think it will really hurt us unless we start picking up a lot more injuries.

Terrible news. Needs to get his rehab right and come back stronger.

Kid has talent and now it will be a while before we see him again.

Scrap this under-21, under-17, under-12, under-7, under-5 international friendly nonsense.  It's too much!  :no

Apparently those tasked with managing Celtic ,by merit of actually being a hoop (see what I done there  ? hoop/***** ,no ?  OK I will move on ) have targeted our young defender to possibly bring in on loan. I expect Gomez to be part of our first team plans next season ,and I hope the manager does too !

I see what you did there  Of course I would have been more direct and just said he was a ringpiece  :D

Completely agree on Gomez, One of the reasons I believe we have to move Toure on is that this lad should be getting the minutes instead.

We should send him out on loan. He's 6th choice at best now behind Lovren, Matip, Sakho, Skrtel, & Toure. Even if Toure and Skrtel leave he'd still be 4th choice. If he hasasmuch potential aspeople think then he needs first team football to develop not minutes in early round cup games and emergency situations. I'd bring in another experience CB as 4th choice and to replace the experience we'll lose from Toure/Skrtel leaving and send him out on loan to Celtic.
