Still should have scored when he got his chances....he is getting there but still waiting for the end product

Well to start with I thought Utd got the better deal with the signing of Depay.. looks like we definitely got the better deal 3 months on.

Starting to look the player we were hoping he would turn out to be and probably in large due to Klopp knowing all about him and how to get the best out of him.

I do think there is a class player there, but I also think he needs a lot of playing time to get it out .
Not so fast mate he had 3 abysmal missed opportunities as well...

That was his best game so far for us. Showed real glimpses of talent at times so with any luck its a sign of things to come. He should have done better on a few chances but he is getting there. It takes a while to adapt to a new team and league and its encouraging to see he can.

Always looked like he had a bit of quality about him, but where to play him will be the ongoing issue.
As good a display as he put in v City, I don't think the 'false 9' is the way forward. He isn't the best finisher and in tight games where we need to take the one or two chances we create, playing the system we played v City might be a problem for him.
If he and Coutinho could form an attack with either Benteke or a fit Sturridge that's probably our best bet going forward.

His "thread it through the eye of a needle " pass for Countinho's goal was absolutely sublime .
Lacked some composure at times ? Deffo Fluffed at least one opportunity that the likes of Sturridge would surely have put away , but when all's said and done his quality is now beginning to shine

Firmino, he can't take on any player in any part of the pitch, when he receives the ball wanted to pass it rightway sideways or backward, He can't track back, chicken out of any light tuckle, can't pass, can't score, he might be suited for lower league teams and he even will find hard to break into their first team!!.
This will tell what the idiot BR is!! a total Sh*t
Your ability to recognise an idiot and somebody that is totally useless is something you should be very proud of................ YOU SIR ARE A FKG CLOWN !!!!!!!!!!!

Devaney, whilst I agree with your assesment of Algymoons party attire I do find myself wondering what's emblazoned on the hat you're wearing given you're quoting a post apparently made two months ago !

as did Kenny, Keegan, Rush, Owen Fowler and Torres. Even Suarez missed chances throughout a game. The fact there is actually a chance to miss is a positive in the first place!

Every player misses chances. If every top striker took all their chances they would be on 100 goals per season.

Partially agree ,yes his positioning was great however 1 out of 4 great chances isn't something to be proud of. His goal wasn't even a chance taken it was Coutinho basically scoring himself.. Again he had a good game but to be one of the best you must take your chances...Modern day football doesn't produce a lot of opportunities for strikers thus when it does arrive you really must score.
