I'm down in Brazil and my colleagues here are still laughing at us for paying 29m for Firmino.

To me our striker line up is 1 Origi, 2= Ings/Danny, 4 Anyone else.

I wouldn't say Firmino has been a poor signing mate, yes we probably paid over the odds for him but you could say that about half our squad including the likes of Lallana, Henderson and Lovren etc.
He's weighed in with some important goals (like against United in the EL) and for a flair player he certainly puts a shift in, he'd probably tell you himself that he's really a number 10 and not an out-and-out CF but if the manager wants him to play there he'll do it (without whinging to the press either).

Get sense club wanted the Ings money as its a quick flip, triple money and more without the player breaking sweat for Liverpool. In business terms easy cash.

Firmino was purchased with profit in mind though at this point hes definately not worth any more than what we paid. He has a very languid style, you want to shake him at times just tomove quicker, but hes reasonably effective without ever hitting the heights consistently.

I think he's a really effective player. He presses the action well and forces teams to rush play and make mistakes. His running style makes him look laboured at times I agree with that.. If he moved as quick as Mane and still had as much energy then we'd be onto a winner. He was/still us a very good signine for us.

Gutted for him. Think Klopp would have taken a shine to him as well

Yeah same here, however i doubt he would have featured that much this season anyway. Shame for the lad 2nd season now with this layoff.

Going by reports he is undergoing surgery in London today. They say it isn't the same knee that kept him out last season which is really unfortunate because to suffer injuries like that to both knees is worrying for the future.

Best of luck to the lad and hopefully he fully recovers from it.

Terrible for him personally but in club terms the reported £20m offer this summer is looking attractive in retrospect.

Suspect thats him finished with us, help with recovery and get him fit for sale, harsh but true.

Awful for the lad, the only slight positive is that he was looking very sharp after his last injury so there's a decent chance he might be able to do the same again. Some players are never the same after ACL injuries but Ings was looking better than ever.

from what we saw of him prior to these injuries he looked like a player! Hope Klopp gives him a chance even as backup from the bench.

If fit he will be just the type of striker Klopp will like. He's not the ferrari of strikers but he'll work tiredlessly...
