Reds agree deal to sign Danny Ings

Liverpool FC are delighted to announce that they have agreed personal terms with Danny Ings and, subject to a medical, the striker will join the club on July 1 after his contract with Burnley has expired.

The 22-year-old struck 11 goals in 35 Barclays Premier League appearances last season, which was his first in the top flight.

Ings had found the target 21 times in the previous campaign to help the Clarets secure promotion from the Championship.

The forward has nine caps for England U21s, with four goals to date too, and will represent his country at the U21 European Championship later this month.

Ings faced the Reds twice in 2014-15, featuring for 90 minutes at Anfield in March.

If there is a door that says 'FREE' on it then FSG will definitely knock.

Not convinced about Ings but good luck to the lad.

LFC wasting money again, but it's a player BR really wants. Imo, LFC really need to bring in quality, Ings is not that.

Got to be honest, don't think he is the level of player we require to push on. However he is here now, so hope the lad goes on to prove me wrong and turns  out to be an absolute steal on a free

Good luck to him. Not a good signing. We sell to the big uns and buy from the little uns. That's who we are now.

More a reflection of how bad we've been than how good Ings has been.
