As i dont think he woul have the heart to go and play for a team competing against Liverpool.

Noone other than Utd Citeh Arsenal Chelsea and Spurs will offer the type of wages we seem to be offering him therefore to keep the similar wage he was on now he would have to sign for one of those sides or move abroad

I'm just glad he was dropped last night in favour of a more cohesive defensive display.

There is no doubt whatsoever that he is a problem. His powers are on the wane and he cant play comfortably for a full game in a specific position. The question is what to do about it? He was not missed at all against Madrid and actually did us no favours when he came on.
I wouldnt like to see him play for anyone else, but we need to work out how best to utilise his experience and skill?

It's time to move on... SG should not be offered a playing contract but told to go get his badges. Sadly he doesn't have the ability to speak languages otherwise I would tell him to go wtk in Spain or Italy.

To be honest, if Moyes gets the Socidad job, SG should go as his number 2  and learn management from one of the most underrated managers in football.

I think Rodgers needs to accept his attempts to save Gerrards legs from the rigours of the game have failed miserably ,and placing him in the position he currently holds
is having a marked effect on our game and sadly his own ..... No 34 year old Premiership  player should be used to such a ridiculous extent.

I have some fantastic memories of Steven Gerrard ,and dropping him to the bench and introducing him further forward could save his this legends career from fading out
with a whimper ,rather than the crescendo of noise it deserves.

his best position is sat on bench used for 20 minutes as a number 10 or on right but he wont agree to that.

He doesn't look anything special to me, I'm sure we can do better than him.

Plus because sigurdsson takes a decent free kick doesn't mean he is the next Gerrard, siggurdson rarely tracks back to win the ball

If we are recruiting replacements to the 2005-2008 Gerrard then he signed for Barcelona last year in Ivan Rakitic
