Decent player better then Enrique in my view but clearly isn't worth the money we spend on him...

Truely woeful player and I can't believe he's still being picked.

Stu, rest his soul, was right about this lad when a lot of us thought he looked half decent.

Moreno can't defend to save his life and is found wanting time after time especially in big games.  He was an absolute disgrace in the Arsenal game and not for the first time this season.  He offers little in the final third in an attacking sense too.  Wonder strike v Spurs aside, what has he done?  His efforts are usually speculative and he can't beat a man or get a cross in. Get rid.

Agreed, looks like yet another dud.

I wanted to say this even before the scum game, it looks like Stu was absolutely right about this lad and I was very wrong. I dubbed Moreno as one of the best young full-backs in Europe before we signed him, I watched him often in Sevilla last season, but not often enough by the looks of it. As Stu said, Moreno's an enthusiastic lad but with zero intelligence.

He'll come good. He should have lad 6 months+ in the reserves to adapt to our game and EPL style of footy but as usual he and other new buys were rushed into the first team. He's ok, he just needs to sort his head out.

Yeah he's a young player who is still learning his trade, mistakes are bound to happen.
Wing back is probably the most physically demanding position to play as well and as we all know when you are tired your decision making becomes frazzled.

He's alright with the physical part, but he seems to have very little game intelligence. Not saying he's a flop but I thought he was better than this.

Much, much, much better. No fu'ck ups that cost us the game.

He looks very average to me.
One thing I don't like about him is when he tackles  :nod He tries to force his way into a gap between the player and ball but ends up getting rolled each time. He needs to stand players up more and bide his time rather than jumping in to everything from the off.

With any luck he will improve in those areas because as long as he continues to rush everything he becomes a liability.

I agree with "red till i die" as far as his defensive attributes go

However he has potential as a wide midfielder (Winger), he is very pacey and we know he has a hell of a shot on him, what has been frustrating me about him recently is that every time he gets into an advanced position he passes backwards, the guy is great when he just attacks the box, his crossing is decent and shooting very good

In my own personal opinion yes

Reading between the lines you disagree and that's fine by me

I don't understand the criticism on moreno. I think he is an exciting player. If he worked on his tactical awareness he can be quite a complete LB. He is definitely a better LB than Glenn johnson is a RB.

Glenn isn't a benchmark for anything mate. .Moreno had an overall avarage season surely beneath his price tag.

Dont take my word for it. Just watch the matches hes been involved in where he has vitually cost us the game.
