The young man looked really good last night against Australia, he didnt score but his touch, movement and passing was spot on

Nice one CR, he looks a neat and tidy player, very good at holding the ball up in particular. He sort of reminds me of a bigger/stronger version of Danny Welbeck. Looking at that I can't fathom why he isn't a fixture in the Lille starting XI.
Bordeaux are currently 1st in Ligue 1. 3 points ahead of PSG after 8 games

Scored again last night in the European league....Any legal chance on getting him back this season? I cant believe Borini plays and he doesn't what a stupid decisions are being made around transfers.

I believe Rodgers thought that the 8 new players that came into the squad would strengthen us so much we wouldn't need him.... instead of strengthening looks like they are just eating up the wage budget...
not sure if I should laugh or cry at this point ...

We could certainly have done with him these last few weeks ! As much as I've been critical of BR's transfers I'm not sure if in this instance he had a choice. I could be totally off base but I got the impression that his club would only sanction the deal if they were allowed to keep him for another year ?

That's how I saw it Woof. Lille wanted him for another year and wouldn't sell him otherwise. Arsenal were also sniffing around, so I think BR agreed. Better late than never, eh?

I think him and Sturridge will make a great partnership. I think buying him may well turn out to be good business even if we had to wait a year to get him. I just hope we get at least fourth with what we have for next season.
