Another one through the door. Welcome to the club lad.

He'll go back on loan to Lille for next season before rejoining Liverpool in the summer of 2015.

Welcome to the club lad.

I know that there are some eyebrows being raised about signing this kid, but keep in mind that he's only 19 and was picked to start ahead of a fully fit Lukaku during the World Cup.

We wanted him this season but Lille wouldn't allow it they wanted him to stay another year.  Looks very promising! There was late interest from Spurs and Athletico and the lad had his sights set on Anfield.

Wellcome Origi Lad

Realistically this lad is one for the future, even when he returns from his loan stint at Lille in a years time he'll still only be 20 which is young to be leading the line at a top premiership club.
It will be 3/4 years before he will be able to handle the pressure of being Liverpool's number 9 IMO.

welcome to the club lad  :buttrock
i honestly dont know why so many of you rate this lad to become a top player, he spent his youth at genk before going to lille in 2010. in 2012 he played in their reserve league scoring 2 goals in 11 appearances. last season he progressed to their 1st team and scored 6 goals in 40 appearances. he played well in a very very talented belgian side at the WC but thats about it.
hopefully he will pull up trees in france next season on the back of that but i have my doubts.

Ridiculous that we agreed to let him stay for another year - what do we gain from that in the next 12 months? Nothing !
He should be in the US now meeting his new team mates, preparing for August 17th.
Really annoyed at the details of this deal.

Did we buy this guy just because there happens to be a surge in quality players from Belgium without the proper scouting? We bought him just because we can afford to punt?

Prove me wrong but i think its a waste of money Rodgers...

... that's 10 million further away from someone like Reus or a replacement for Johnson which we are crying out for.

Listening to Brendan's interview, apparently the club did a fair bit of scouting on this guy to know of his quality and potential, Tibault Coultois anyone?...so I would agree with this signing.

The real £14M missed is Borini staying with the club

remember seeing him in world cup and thought he looks good. At 19 looks a good prospect.
