Sky Sports understands that Liverpool have snapped up former Tottenham defender Kevin Stewart.

The 20-year-old has come through the ranks at White Hart Lane, and has skippered their youth sides.

He made his professional debut last season and has spent time on loan at Crewe Alexandra.

Tottenham decided not to offer him a professional deal, at which point Liverpool have made their move.

Stewart has signed a two-year deal with the Reds, and became a Liverpool player on July 1.

Maybe he wouldn't sign a new deal with them

A keeper from spurs's youth ranks has come with him too, maybe that Alex Inglethorpe has recommended them or something.
Hate to say it but the law of averages suggests that they'll just be 2 more names to add to the ever expanding list of benchwarmers at the club.
Good luck to the lads anyway.

Didn't Brendan say that the plan for this summer was to bring in starting XI type players instead of squad players?

We’ve always signed players like this to make up the numbers for the reserves – it’s important. Hopefully it will open the door for Lloyd Jones to go out on loan at some point.

PMSL at the "official thread".

Don't expect anything from him to be honest as if they wanted to keep him they would be entitled to some sort of compo for training him etc.

Strange one.

(lol @ the post directly above me, how wrong could you be)

I think a lot of the other youngsters have had the plaudits but this lad is rising in confidence and played really well against seasoned pro's when we faced West Ham, I certainly expect much more from him, could he do much worse than the other current central midfield "first teamers" ??

He can only get better, his passing was simple but great to watch

Here he is against West Ham
