Some ti't wrote this in January:
"Adam Lally runs down a blind alley
I really wanted this lad to succeed but hes a lightweight. Hes mediocre in disguise as a potential world beater and besides his ability to take people on, he doesnt have much more in his locker. His pathetic header summed up what hes about and showed us that he cant make the step up to being a class player who can turn games.
Nice lad, but doesnt have the class we need to progress"

To be fair to the original poster, Lallana has been disappointing for the majority of his LFC career. It's only this season that he has started to look like the guy we signed from Southampton, which is great, but hardly worth rolling out the bunting for.

I've been critical of him, but I'm very happy to see him playing well. If he keeps it up this season - and I see no reason why he can't - then I'll gladly backtrack some of my criticisms. But let's not pretend he's been anything but average until now.

We all have to judge in the moment and like managers you try to give people a chance when its not going as well as expected.

In the Anfield bootroom coaching and management staff will be having very similar if not identical debate over players that we do, critical and feeling hopeless at times, but offering praise when merited and Lallana is all that.

Well, I was guilty of the same sentiments. I called him a fake playmaker . But I'm glad that he's doing well now, he was one of the players I was looking forward to when he joined us...

Lets face it if a new signing doesn't score 10 goals in his first game, shag the tea lady at half time and break some poor fkrs leg then he is regarded as useless !! If nothing else most of you are a fickle bunch of moaning gits

Lad is pivotal to our side. I would go as far as saying his the engine to Klopps system. Key player for us this season.

He needs to be played in his best position. Lallana looks average when played out of pos.

Absolutely Redshade and yesterday was a classic examples. Why do managers mess about when a player clear has a best position and is useless elsewhere. I mean you wouldn't play Sturridge in defence would you !!!

Saw that somewhere else today. Some obviously dived from a great height into the shallow end of the gene pool...
