Is this true about us signing Mario Balotelli for 16m from AC milan, I just heard on news?

Thats a bit better, although his bad boy reputation is a worry, his bust ups in training with Mancini are well documented. His spell at City blighted by trouble on and off the pitch :(

One bad boy to another...... Do we need the hassle?

See how long he lasts! :)

I think it is clear, we did NOT do a Spurs. With the strength of the squad I'd say we are better than last year.

Kelly - Manquillo
Coates - Lovren
Cissokho - Moreno
L. Alberto - Can
Moses - Lallana
Assaidi - Markovic
Suárez - Balotelli
Aspas - Lambert

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Window is shut with a few loan deals out for us the only business on deadline day.

Coates to Sunderland loan

Assaidi to Stoke loan

I'm satisfied with the business done, looks like Moreno will be the pick of the bunch.

Don't think that we actually spent too much either. Around 30-35m net spend. Had we sold Assaidi and Borini our net spending might have been as low as 10 million. Heck, if we also sold Agger for a more realistic price we could have made a profit!

So the information I could find on our transfer activity

Out
Suarez £75M (Disclosed)
Agger £3M (Disclosed)
Kelly Undisclosed - reported fee £1.5M
Reina Undisclosed - reported fee £2M
Robinson Undisclosed - reported fee £1M
Alberto Undisclosed - reported fee £1M
Aspas Undisclosed - no fee info available
Coady Undisclosed - no fee info available
Ibe Undisclosed - no fee info available
Ilori Undisclosed - no fee info available
Teixeira Undisclosed - no fee info available
Wisdom Undisclosed - no fee info available

Total £82.5M Disclosed fees

In
Balotelli £16M (Disclosed)
Can £8M (Disclosed)
Lallana £25M (Disclosed)
Lambert £4M (Disclosed)
Lovren £20M (Disclosed)
Manquillo (Loan) Undisclosed - no fee info available
Markovic £20M (Disclosed)
Moreno £12M (Disclosed)
Origi £10M

Total £115M Disclosed

So as you can see based on disclosed fees we have a net spend of £32.5M, but obviously this is not counting the undisclosed fees for loan deals.

For our net spend to be £0, it would essentially require the remaining undisclosed loan deals with no reported values (Aspas, Coady, Ibe, Ilori, Teixeira, Wisdom) to total £32.5M. I find that highly unlikely. Thats an average loan fee for each of those of nearly £5.5M each.

I think Sky are spinning the numbers to make a good story.

If you assume that Aspas, Coady, Ibe, Ilori, Teixeira, and Wisdom all went on loan for around £1M, max. The good guess at the net spend would be £26.5M (+-10%).

In my opinion that equates to a successful transfer window.

Reina deal is meant to mean 7mil for us once he starts playing games and the same as Kelly, he deal could added up to 4mil if he plays most of the first team games..
I don't think out net spend is 0 but your right sky never let the truth get in the way.

It can't be £7M for the loan fee. Maybe £7M if they execute the option to buy.

Good work SCS. Your figures seem much more plausible than Sky's zero spend bs. I think the club have done a remarkable job upgrading the squad and keeping within budget. The £75m Suarez sale armed us with the financial muscle to go out and spend and that has been done admirably. Ps Barca still slightly worryingly, insisting they only paid £64.5m for Luis. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2014/09/02/ ... as/158271/

Well you could also argue that Lallana came here for 16 million and not 25, some sources say that. Either way, there's no way we've had a 0 net spending, could be as low as 10m even, but that's still not zero. Like I said (and SCS basically confirmed), our net spending should be around 30-35 million, which is not bad at all. Way less than the scum that's for sure :D

ya seems we have the best transfer window for many yrs,
moses is perhaps the most frustrating player in a lfc shirt i have seen in recent memory.
mario and sturridge will form a good partnership,
we are spoil for choice for attacking mid in counti, sterling, lana and marko, but making them happy and enough
playing time will be a challenge.
central mid is good too,Can looks like a future potential star.
full backs are settled, cant wait for flanno to be back.
only weak link is still a central def to partner lovren. skertel and sakho both look like a accident waiting to happen,
even simon is showing signs back to his best with world class saves.

Right you can only really argue that we've downgraded in the Suarez/Balotelli swap. All the rest are improvements.
