Was getting a little worried our transfer dealings were going there usual slow creepy pace but last 24 hrs look like a flood of activity

Looks like Lambert, Moreno are going to happen, Lambert going for medical. We just up'd our bid Lallana to 25 mil. Still Sorting out the Can wages issues and biding 10 mil

Lambert 4
Can       10
Moreno 16 + Suso
Lallana 25+
-----------------------
            55mil spent

Hope there is still money left over for a RB and CB.

Why are we going for a left back? Stupid decision. And never heard of this can fella.... Sounds like another aspas or Alberto deal to me. Just what we need

Another Nuri Sahin probably, hopefully not. Highly rated by Leverkusen though

Looking forward to seeing how Brendan plays it in the champs league. It's an all new experience for him as a manager, wonder how he'll play it?

Can is not an Alberto or Aspas player, he won't flop like them. He's a Henderson/Ramires sort of player. I think that with him and Henderson in midfield, with Gerrard behind them, we won't have the midfield problems anymore.

As for the Moreno, I agree. Good player but I wish he was right footed.

And who do propose we drop for can? Coutinho?

Do us a favour!

He had better be some player as to my mind the midfield was excellent at times last season when henderson coutinho and Gerrard played in the same side

It was excellent many times last season.  However, once we lost Henderson to suspension I think it was pretty glaring how weak we were in the midfield numbers wise.

Surely that is the purpose of going after lallana as he can play in coutinho and hendersons position... Signing this can fella smacks of an Alberto type signing for me

Not good enough I'm afraid. We are crying out for another athletic midfielder like Henderson, how you can't see that is beyond me. Lallana is not the answer, he will be used as a winger or as a number 10. We need a midfielder, someone like Henderson only better. Can might not be the answer but I'd give it a try for those money.

Anyway, I was just wondering how can you be sure he's another Aspas or Alberto if you haven't even seen him before?

Lallana I see as a winger but in time he could play in the hole. For the positions he currently occupies, I don't feel we are in dire need of cover. He is a fantastic prospect and now is a good player but if we sign him and then do not get in proven central midfielder, left back or full back I will be disappointed.

The starting 11 needs three signings IMHO in positions easy to identify. Lallana is not in one of them. It's a luxury signing for me, desirable but not essential.
