Next 5 Games - HULL, NOR, WHU, TOT, CAR

Nov 30: Hull City (a)
Dec 4: Norwich City (h)
Dec 7: West Ham United (h)
Dec 15: Tottenham Hotspur (a)
Dec 21: Cardiff City (h)

------

Leading up to Xmas we need to ensure our top two position in the league is unchanged. Spurs aside I would expect nothing short of convincing wins in these games. Spurs obviously will be a trickier prospect, however they are hardly an in form side.

13 points is not an unrealistic expectation, I would be very disappointed of anything less.

Hull even away from home should be a win. Norwich at home should be a comfortable win (money on Suarez hattrick history repeating itself). West Ham potentially can cause an upset but with no real strike force and our league record against in our favour, nothing short of a win.

Spurs will be tricky, we don't fare well at White Hart Lane. Last time we beat them, in any competition, away from home, was 2008. But statistics are there to be broken right?

Cardiff at home should be a win, especially when you consider our next league game will be Man City away on boxing day.

It's really imperative we don't lose focus over this period leading up to Xmas. Going into tough back to back games over Xmas will be even harder if we have carelessly dropped points in home games we should be winning.

these would be my predictions...

Nov 30: Hull City (a)
Dec 4: Norwich City (h)
Dec 7: West Ham United (h)
Dec 15: Tottenham Hotspur (a)
Dec 21: Cardiff City (h)

Hull away - 3 - 1 win to LFC  3 pts
Norwich home - 4 - 0 win to LFC  3pts
West Ham home - 2 - 0 win LFC   3 pts
Spurs away - 1 -1 draw  1 pts
Cardiff home - 2 - 0 win to LFC 3 pts

I agree, 13 pts should be realistic however even with a loss to spurs 12 pts would be a good haul.

12 pts minimum from those 5 and we should be still in second with hopefully a gap of a few pts.

Like I said in the previous thread, I'd be a bit disappointed if we win anything lower than 13 points. Tottenham are Sh*t and we should definitely be getting something from there. Even without Sturridge, most of these games should be a cake.

Think we'll get 10 points. We're bound to lose a stupid one or draw one that we should win.

Would like to be be proven wrong though :)

Our next few games are vital ,the Bitterz have Arsenal and United away from home next ,so we should see points dropped .
Its imperative we collate maximum points from our two home games....Man City haven't been impressive away from home
so they wont be relishing a trip to the Hawthornes ,and Chelsea have an invigorated Sunderland to face at the Stadium of
Light.

1 Arsenal 13 17 31
2 Chelsea 13 12 27
3 Man City 13 25 25
4 Liverpool 13 9 24

Today was a massive kick up the arse for the reds ,lets hope Rodgers heeds the warnings.

So much for the 13 points.

Not necessarily, but a postive result against a top side is probably needed this year to stay on track.

Not necessary? Are you mental?  :Oo:
Look at the table and see how tight it is!

IF and it might be a very big if, we can beat Norwich and West Ham this week... we'll still be at least 4th if not higher than that.  (I haven't looked at other teams fixtures yet).  We could afford to draw with Spurs or even get beaten.

The Hull result basically means we need to make those points up against a big team.  We have 3 chances to do that.  Spurs, City and Chelsea.  Potentially, if we drop more points this week we will need even more points out of those big games.
