V QPR

Mingolet - 8 MoM performance from him, quite simply no Mingy no 3 points
Johnson - 6 pick of the defenders IMO, his unbelievable tackle on the goal line probably saved the game
Skrtel - 4 poor performance, the half hearted challenge on Austin which left the striker one on one with Mingolet summed his afternoon up
Lovren - 4 outplayed by Bobby Zamora, what more needs to be said
Enrique - 3 awful, but first prem start in a year so that can happen
Hendo - 5 part of a midfield that lost the battle for the centre of the park
Can - 4 he knows what the prem is all about now, 50/50 battles for 90 minutes, not sure if he won one
Gerrard - 6 ineffective first half but came into the game late on as QPR tired, put in some decent tackles and was the pick of our midfielders
Lallana - 5 been our best player up to this point but struggled today
Sterling - 7 quiet for an hour but suddenly found his form of last season in the last 20 minutes, when he's on top form and in full flight he looks as good as anything in the league
Balotelli - 3.5 not helped by our decision to play like Wimbledon but he had a poor game

Coutinho - 7 changed the game when he came on, like Raheem when he's firing on all cylinders he looks unbelievably good.
Allen - 5 struggled to get to grips with the pace of the game but good to see him back
Toure - 5 wasn't on long enough to really judge him

Mongnolet - 6 - prior to the 2 excellent saves was slating him on the match thread, rating based on the 2 saves alone, still flapping at every ball into the box
Johnson - - 6 - hate to say this but he had a better game today
Skrtel - 6 - not sure how he made it into Garth Crooks team of the weak, but did save us on a few occasions
Lovren - 5 - not a 20 million £ player, not the cd we are looking for
Enrique - 4 - very. very poor today, should spend less time on instagram posting pics and more time getting back to his best
Hendo - - 6 - did nothing wrong
Can - 5 - first game back after injury, needs a couple of matches under his belt, think he will come good
Gerrard - 6 - a couple of good moments, wasnt far off from scoring in the first half
Lallana - 5 - did nothing
Sterling - 7 - our best player on the field again today
Balotelli - 3 - having grave concerns about him now, lazy, not a team player, uninterested

Coutinho - 7 - thought he changed the game when he came on, a real positive in what was an awful match to watch
Allen - 5 - first game back after injury, sure he will get back to his best
Toure - not giving him a rating as wasnt on long enough

my man of match : Sterling
my muppet of match : Balotelli

Skrtel - 4 - poor
Lovren - 4 - poor ,bench him just to get him back to the ground ,he isn't good as he things he is
Enrique - 3 - poor ,used to at least defend ok ,lost that as well ,was direct fault for the first goal

Can - 4 - Showed nothing
Gerrard - 5 - Still missing his leadership
Lallana - 5 - Lost
Sterling - 7 - Found his groove on the 2nd half ,very encouraging.

Mingolet - 8 Our only defender ,made some brilliant stops to keep it respectable
Johnson - 4 Giving  him a 4 mainly for his not for the faint hearted outrageously high tackle on Sandro ,it saved a certain goal ,but could have left us with 10 men.
Skrtel - 4 Looked really sluggish after his exploits with Slovakia
Lovren - 4 Clearly still a game or two away from full fitness ,second to practically every ball
Enrique - 2 Jesus ,he was bad ,I mean atrociously bad.
Hendo -4 Dropped  well below his  usual standards ,and looked jaded throughout.
Can - 4 Disappointed ,but even before his injury he wasn't afforded the time to adjust to the pace of the premiership by  the manager....Another waiting game.
Gerrard - 6 Invisible first half  ,but picked it up in the second ,and was unlucky not to slot.
Lallana - 5 Again ,a jaded performance after running around for England.
Sterling - 7 In the last 20 mins he tore up the turf at Lofthouse Rd with his searing pace ,unplayable when he  has the wind at his back and running at hapless defenders.
Balotelli - 3 Moaning for 90 minutes will not endear him to Liverpool fans.

Coutinho -8 Brilliant cameo from our little Brazilian
Allen -4 Could have done better with the header that bobbled agonisingly between his legs.
Toure - Too fleeting an appearance to rate accurately.

V REAL MADRID

MINGOLET - 5 caught in no mans land for their second and should have went with his hands instead of his feet for their third, made a couple of decent saves in the second half though to keep the score line respectable
JOHNSON - 4 poor game, sloppy in possession and all over the shop at the back
SKRTEL - 4 struggled big time against such quality opposition, score line could have easily been worse
LOVREN - 4 he's probably only had 2 good performances since he's been at the club, how he's considered a nailed on starter god only knows
MORENO - 4 not his best day in a red shirt
GERRARD - 4 slipped back into his early season form, passed the ball sideways and backwards and probably walked further than he ran second half, poor performance
HENDERSON - 5 tried his best to press and harry their midfield but they were too clever
ALLEN - 4 quiet game from Joe, looked out on his feet near the end, it was his first start since August though
COUTINHO - 6 probably our best outfield player, unlucky with that shot off the post
STERLING - 5 tried hard but couldn't get away from their defence
BALOTELLI - 5 did okay I thought

SUBS -

LALLANA - 5 tried to be inventive
CAN - 6 looked quite powerful and dynamic, much better than Sundays performance
MARKOVIC - 4 couldn't get into the game

MINGOLET - 4 - Thats just for his shot stopping, on everything else he scares the sh!t out of me so I wonder how his team mates feel
JOHNSON - 3  - Why?
SKRTEL - 4 - Agree with stu, out of his depth, about Sunderland standard
LOVREN - 5 - He would probably be good with a decent partner
MORENO - 4 - Poor
GERRARD - 4 - I saw a comment on here about the subs was to rest people for Saturday, well here is a 34 year old in poor form who plays every minute of every game. He was just by passed last night and his dead balls just cant seem to get past the first defender these days
HENDERSON - 4 - Was last season just a one off!!
ALLEN -5 - Did ok
COUTINHO - 7- Our best player on the pitch, why sub your best player
STERLING - 6 - Doing well but missing Sturridge and Suarez
BALOTELLI - 3 - Not a lone striker, will give him a break until we see him up from with DS

by red till i die!!
mingy - 5 never going to improve and as usual should have done better for one or two but did pull off a few saves to keep the scoreline down.
johnson - 4 we aren't giving him a new deal so why is he playing ?
skrtel - 4 poor game and struggled with their quality
lovren - 4 absolutely no improvement on skrtel and couldnt lead a line down a tunnel
moreno - 4 i think brendans idea of signing players for the CL meant you just had to be born in europe
gerrard - 4 thought he made a good few interceptions but unable to control anything for us
henderson - 4 completely starstruck and outclassed every single time
allen - 4 how he lasted 90 mins is beyond me, offers nothing but huff and puff
coutinho - 7 if why the fook was he taken off ?
sterling - 5 if anything last night showed him exactly how far behind a top club we are.
balotelli - 3 its just not working for him on his own, might improve when studge returns but man is he bad.

lallana - 5 he tries but is struggling
markovic - 4 didnt get into it at all
can - 5 showed a few good runs but a long long way off
