I agree with Eds. Both Lovren and Sakho just aren't good enough and I wouldn't be disappointed if they were sold.
I'd keep Skrtel for the same reason he said. And give illori a chance this spring to show himself. If he isn't up to it, get rid of him too.

I actually thought he was our best defender on Saturday ,the inclusion of Toure does the fella no favours as Sakho is continually covering the middle of our defence after players have strolled around the lumbering frame of our Ivorian friend. Sakho is a good defender ,and probably has more touches of the ball than anyone else on the field given the fact he's continually used to play the ball out from the back.

Mama is beginning to make the usual doomsayers look a bit silly. Lovren isn't too far behind in that area also.

Some of you lot are so quick to write players off. Who was it that said sell Sakho and Lovren at the end of the season. If ever there was a time to give Klopp time to see what he can get out of these expensive purchases it is now !!!

In fairness Dev, Lovren was a disaster for a fair few months... Sakho has a mighty presence, these lads need to go through til the end of the season gaining confidence and cementing their relationship. One less problem.

My point Reg is that we are far too quick to write players off and often we are proved wrong. Can't claim I haven't been guilty of the same offence in the past  :(

mama has not been helped by our weakness at left back or not having a settled partner in the middle. I think he still has one or two mistakes in him but there are not many defenders out there who don't.
Lovren on the other hand looks a different player on the right side of the pairing and I think the longer he is there the more confidence will come back to him!

I like Sakho, but his form after his injury has been hit and miss. Great to see him play well last night, but I think both he and Lovern need consistency. Sadly, like Migs, I think both have a clanger in their locker which undermines everyone's confidence in the back line.

Bad news... I really like Sakho... would not be good if he's found guilty...

Not good  :(

Amazed that we've withdrawn him from fixtures until UEFA have reached a decision

What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"  ?

All I can say is that the lad is an idiot if he was taking something he shouldn't have. They receive an updated list every year on what you can and cannot take so there is no excuse.
The fact that the club has left him out leads me to believe he has admitted it and from all the reports its appears to be fat burners which is bound to contain illegal ingredients. If I can remember correctly Kolo toure was in trouble a few years back for a similar offence. Not sure if he was banned by uefa or the fa but city banned him for a lengthy spell and it could end up being something similar with mama.

The club pays these lads a lot of money and give them access to the best physicians and consultants about so they expect the player to abide by the rules.

The bad thing is that it couldn't have come at a worse time for us

Yeah good post mate, these days footballers should not be taking anything that hasn't been checked beforehand by club doctors.
I can't believe he has done it tbh, it's taken the shine off our recent good form for me.
