Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto is to return to Anfield after his two-year loan deal with Malaga was cut short, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 22-year-old joined Liverpool for £6.8million from Sevilla in 2013, but struggled to make an impact on Merseyside - making just 12 appearances in his first season at the club.
He was then shipped out to Malaga, but the La Liga club have decided not to retain him for the second year of his deal.

Forgot all about Alberto. Although it doesn't look good if a mid-table Spanish side has sent him packing.
Expect him to leave for a fraction of what we paid.

Was never the right type of player when he arrived
Wasted a lot of money on him and the other guys Aspas - expect both to leave with minimal fees back to Spain
The lads a talented player ,sometimes managers just don't like you regardless of your ability ,you only have to look how certain players were treated here to see that comes into the equation. Add to that he was Schuster's signing not Javi Garcia's.

Alberto won't get picked and will more than likely be sold because he isn't good enough - nothing to do with being liked or not

He'll be loaned because his value has plummeted and clubs won't risk buying him. His reputation in England is poor and his reputation in Spain has taken a hit too.
A nothing player. Too soft to play central midfield, too slow to play on flanks, not a goalscorer so can't play up front.

Another dud signing. The sooner we get rid the better. May as well have brought Albert Riera (or Nick Cotton) back than bought him.. What a waste. Could have brought a young lad through instead from the academy and given one of them a chance than make all these signings of second rate 1st team players. Lets see Wilson and Sinclair and Rossiter have more game time...

So it seems evident that Brendan Rodgers doesn't bring the best out of his players.
