Its hardly the end of the world to keep one of the few experienced players we have left one more season as a relatively cheap backup player.

Why do young footballers drive old men's cars?

After watching that clip of him knocking the ref over I'd expect him to turn up to work in this...

With Gomez coming back from missing a year through serious injury, Sakho likely to be suspended until at least October/November time, and Matip new and untested in the Premier League, surely it makes sense to give Toure a one year extension?

I would give him a one year extension. He's a big game player and was our best player in the final v Sevilla when it really mattered, as he was in the Bernabeu the season before. 35 or not he's still a top defender. With Sakho out long term and just in case Matip doesn't settle quickly we have to re-sign him.

He is 35 and will only be a bit part player so keeping him here will only hamper someone like Gomez's progression.  Sakho fooked himself and us over by taking banned substances so he should be moved on as well. Hopefully Matip will be a leader and the one who can bring lovren up a level but we still should be looking to sign another. Matip, Lovren, A.N.Other, Gomez and one from the reserves should be more than enough considering we have less games next year.
