I really wanted to see how Studge, firminho, Coutinho and Lallana played together. Doubt that will happen.

cut his pay, no one will buy him anyway, too much of a risk. you have got to think its something he is doing himself as it cant just be bad luck

I can see him retiring early because of this. His body obviously doesn't agree with him kicking a ball about. Any time he's fit should be considered  bonus, nothing more

The number of games he's missed sine he joined is shocking, might as well cash in and be done with it

Might have to play more Benteke now  :help

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me, he turned 26 two or three months ago and is meant to be in his prime so god knows how brittle his body will be by the time he gets past 30.
As you say mate if this trend continues I can see him hanging his boots up early which would be a real shame for the lad because he is a fantastic footballer.

one of the best strikers we've had, in my opinion. right up there with torres, rush, aldridge. a bitter shame we rarely get the benefit of it. its hugely disappointing to have to say it, but his career is pretty much over i fear.

Wouldn't be the first talented player to have their career cut short through persistent injury.   :(

Can only hope we're maybe jumping the gun in consigning him to a retirement home but the long term future for him atm doesn't look good

YEs - it is disappointing for both club and player. But the facts are we are stuck with a player that both Man Sh!tie and Chel$ki didn't want. They knew and I bet behind closed doors we also knew he'd be a risk. But his track record only confirms that he was well worth the risk.

Daniel Sturridge's injury is not as bad as feared & Liverpool are hopeful he will be fit in time for their Christmas fixtures. (SkySports )

He's out for a couple of weeks apparently. And I'm going to stick up for him for one final time....small injuries like this are inevitable after being out so long. His muscles aren't simply use to the workload and he's bound to pick up a couple of short knocks. Hopefully he'll be back before the xmas fixtures kick off.
