When you are an small isolated group you are more likely to come up with nonsense.

I agree with SCS. Rooney as a lone striker will never work. It's best if he's accompanied by another striker, like he always has been. Also, only a mad man would bench Sturridge with the form that he's in. At the moment, even if it comes to choosing between Rooney and Sturridge, I'd pick Sturridge.

He'll definitely be on the plane to Brazil but knowing Hodgson he'll be shoved out on the wing.

+1 but then you must have no knowledge about football, never been involved in higher level of the game, and a majority who are always wrong in your views and understanding about football

Daniel Sturridge is really an asset to Liverpool. Hopefully, he can stay and play longer at Anfield Park.

He's a great player and I'm just thankful it was him that went over easy when vidic got sent off and not Suarez.
If that would have been Luis we wouldn't have heard the last of it.

Oh...I'm sure Rooney will be capable of leading the line as a lone centre forward come Brazil...yeah, right!

And to think he's not even the best striker at the club....

The boy is still developing as well. He really does have everything in abundance and over the next two or three years we will see him adding a bit more awareness to his game.

I can see him being the best English striker of his generation and go on to become a world great.

Apparently he is being bumped from 70k a week to 140k due to his form and the huge gulf between him and Suarez

Can't really complain if this is true, you have to pay the market worth for your top players or risk them buggering off to the likes of Man City
