Hip injury.

I'm amazed we are able to hold the position we have in the table with no strikers.  Lets face it all our strikers are injury prone. Even Origi can't seem to put in an extended shift when he plays.

I thought he had piles from sitting on the f'kin bench all season, no?

His going to be worth feck all to be honest. If he was back now and played some games, scored and stayed fit until end of the season then maybe his price tag would have increased a bit.

We should have sold him last summer we would have made a decent amount.

We are probably better off keeping him and trying to get him fit, as you say with his injury record no team is going to spend serious money on a transfer fee and wages. For what we'd get for him we'd be better off trying to keep him here.
Obviously if he wants to go then there's not much we can do, we'll just have to take the low fee on the chin.

He needs rest so he can be ready for the pre-season tournaments and then he can rest when the new season kicks off.

such a shame that his LFC career will end with a whimper, personally I wish him well and will never forget that absolutely devastating run of form he had in his first 18 months for the club when he was truly outstanding.

Wanted to get rid of him over a year ago. With his wage I bet the club is paying 5 million/game

Yep, he got to 50 goals quicker than anyone in LFC history, and when that list includes the likes of Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, Luis Suarez, Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan, Fernando Torres, Robbie Fowler, John Toshack, Michael Owen etc etc that is some going.
Who knows what the lad could have achieved if injuries hadn't have curtailed his career.

I've really enjoyed Sturridge at the club, and I think he's a world class player but enough is enough.. His injury record is appauling and it's costing us year after year. I hate getting rid, but we have to move on and replace him with a striker that can play week in and week out.

Physically weak, or mentally weak? Or both?
He is of very little, if any use to us now...
:(

It has to be a combination of both. I recall Carragher or Gerrard said they had to at times convince him to play.

We can only speculate. Let's not jump to conclusions. But it's very VERY frustrating.
Equally as bad is that a door was opened for Origi as a result but he hasn't taken the opportunity.

Is Studge the most injury plagued player we've had?

Quite a few we've had in Aquilani, Kewell.
