It wouldn't surprise me if it were true tbh, when Jurgen publicaly called Daniel out over wether his injuries were real pain or normal pain etc I remember thinking at the time I can't see this going down too well.

I dont believe the story about leaving because of criticism. Even someone as self obsessed as Sturridge wouldnt think they were immune to criticism after being absent for so long? This is the usual sh'it stirring to undermine us and force conversations about non existent issues
:upside:

Any interested club, assuming they have a bean counter with a brain, will take a quick look at : fee, wages, and the remote probability he might actually play for more than 3 games a season.... And then duly turn the idea down.

We wouldn't even get back what we paid for him.
3 games/season for 150 k/week. Sounds like a steal

Best player we have at the club. Get him on the fcking pitch. On one leg he's still better than half the garbarge we have playing week in week out.

On the positive side of things we may see him on the pitch soon.

Meanwhile we've spent another million on his wages whilst we wait. Get rid.

Keep Sturridge fit for the Europa league that's the most important thing

I'm still hoping he'll come good again. Regardless of your opinion of him, he's still one of the best finishers in the league and a fit Sturridge will easily knock 20 goals in a season.

Anyone watched him tonight? This is the reason you don't sell him, and you wait to get him fit. The guy is flat out amazing.

A front 3 of him, Coutinho and Firmino could be something special.

His quick and links up well with others. If only he can stay fit. Lad can change the dynamics of a game.

It would be foolish to sell Sturridge while we don't have a real alternative in the squad.

I'm sure we all hate seeing wages going to waste but Benteke, origi, Ings and balotelli add about 6 goals a season in total between all of them, so yes keep Danny until Klopp buys lewandowski  :eyebrow

Class, class, class last night, brimming with confidence too. I think Benteke would improve playing alongside him.
