This is the kind of signing we should be making. Want it to be made official. Pity it is only a loan deal. On another planet to likes of Adam. Seems we have beat off a lot of strong competition which makes it all the sweeter.

i wouldnt get too dispondent mate, players have a habit of coming here and getting attached to the place, plus for all it`s faults the prem is still the most competative (in the sense that the smaller clubs just dont roll over to the big clubs) and exciting league in the world, not to mention the most watched so he might come here and want to stay, it`s not beyond the realms of possibility.

Hearing two differing but strong rumours, firstly this is a loan with an option to buy .... secondly we've bought him .

Sahin and Tello coming in on loan sounds fantastic to be honest.

Two up and coming talents who have something to prove.  Like others have said, I wouldn't worry too much about it being 'only' on loan.  Chances are if they enjoy it here and we have a good season they'll want to stay.  If they don't adapt to the Premiership then we don't have to keep them, perfect.  Loaning them with an option to buy would be the best deal if we can get it.  If not and they decide not to stay, but help us into the top 4 then we are in a better position to sign bigger targets next summer.

If they do sign, then with Allen, Sahin, Tello and Borini we've probably strengthened all the areas that needed to be strengthened.  I'd be happy with that.  If however Agger or Carroll end up leaving then we'd need either a centre back or striker to replace them too.

i'm just trying to rack my brain here about who the last player we got in on loan was. was it anelka?

What's happened? Has he signed or what, I can't find anything anywhere.

Well a few credible sources are suggesting its done. I think the deal will be sorted soon but it hasnt just yet
