Danny murphy - Keep or sell?

i personally think that danny murphy should definitely be kept by liverpool for the forseeable future. he has been disappointing this season though and i do think his goals against man u have clouded peoples judgement.

It's not a question of being against him, more reasoning. He cannot be a first team regular if we are to progress, he's not good enough. His concentration and distribution are not top class, and he gives the ball away too often. He lacks pace short or long distance, which prevents him from playing a wide role, or even making a useful run there.

If he's to play in the centre, that would involve Gerrard playing the holding role, as Murphy is not a great tackler. So we would go from a team driven by Gerrard, to one driven by Danny Murphy.

But he has a good eye for goal, is technically very good, and is a good squad player, capable of filling in, and doing a job. Our Ray Parlour.

I think it's more of a confidence thing more than anything else.
do you agree.

What do you mean 'Our Ray Parlour'?

Of course, I agree with you that we should keep Danny Murphy for next season, is any reasons why GH should sell him? I would be stunned if GH get rid of him. He is our Squad player and hard working player and never miss the penalty too.

For the fact that he's the only current decent penalty taker in our squad now, let's just keep him as a squad player.. Seriously, Murphy may not be technically gifted but we certainly can't fault him for effort & desire everytime he's on the pitch.... :)

hmm, this is really hard to call. He has had a poor season but we know he can be a quality player.

He should be kept for at least another season as he can take a penalty. That aside I would not consider him to be 1 of the worst players at the club i.e.biscan traore smicer diao.
Those players must be shipped out asap as they have been given countless chances and have proved they dont have the class to play for Liverpool.
As far as smicer goes it is obvious the guy has talent just not the heart or bottle to play for a club like ours.

Keep him!, Why?
GOALS
Michael Owen  17
Harry Kewell  11
Emile Heskey  10
Danny Murphy  6
Steven Gerrard  5
Sami Hyypia  5
Bruno Cheyrou  4
One more thing: He at least 2 times humiliated the Mancs, our big enemy.

he has the talent, last season he was one of our best players (probably the best on a consistent basis), although this season he has been poor but he is a good squad player capable of doing a job like beating the mancs!!! :)

And he is our best penalty taker, pretty sure he was a red as a young lad also so he has passion for the club.

Keep- one bad season dosnt make a bad player, once the his confidence returns i think we will see the return of the murphy who was last seasons best player.

defo keep him, but only as squad player. There is a lot of dead weight at the club to be shipped out before we should even think of getting rid of Danny Murphy

Murphy is a good squad player, that I would definately keep.

He is a intelliginat player who can score goals from midfiled and in my opinion he better than Gerrard from setpieces.

But we should not be relying on him as a main creative source, he just isn't that good. Sometimes Murphy is lazy on the field and switches of which is his biggest weak point.

I THINK HIS GOALS  HAVE GIVEN HIM CONFIDENCE AND HE HAD A GOOD FIRST HALF. SKILLFULLY WON US A FREE KICK FROM A DANGEROUS PLACE. HOWEVER, HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH ATTACKING AND IT SEEMS LIKE HE NEVER PASSES THE BALL FORWARD!!
