Someone merge this with the match thread please, pointless to have a separate thread.

the official match thread should be merged with this one, the starting post is a cracker. next up on greenred's list - 'footballs... what shape are they?'

The match thread is nowhere near as insightful as this one.

anyone know who the ref?
howard fcu.king webb ?
read on soccernet that our dear rafa said that old fergie wont had
achieve so much with mancs without the money.

i agreed to certain extend with great prejudice of course, the starting of the
televised games brought great amount of money during the early 90's to the most successful team
and mancs rode the waves.

i remember our club record signing Heskey cost 11m in 2000 but mancs signed D.yorke for 18m
from Aston villa, followed by a 19m rudd v.nest, then 28m for Juan Veron, then Ferdinand for 29m.
few yrs later, we broke our club record by signing Cisse for 14m. the gap was shocking.
if the TV money for there during the 70's, i dont think mancs can dominate for 2 decades.
