If he is good enough we should play him, otherwise we may lose him.

He has never looked uncomfortable, he has never looked out of his depth, he has been a consistant performer.

This lad is going to be a start in our team for a number of years.

I agree with you RB

It's only been a short period of time but I certainly don't have any worries when I see Flanagan on the team-sheet...that was most definitely not the case when the more experienced Konchesky was given the shirt

I would go as far as saying SS that on current form he's one of the best fullbacks in the Premiership.I also believe given his young age he is going to be a truly exceptional player in the future .... I haven't seen a defender with that much pace and no little skill  since Clichy  first donned his Arsenal shirt in the team that became the invincible's (He was also 18) ...incidentally  I would love the Reds to sign Clichy for our problem LB ....

I will probably be accused of going a touch OTT over Flanagan but the Lad  has all the attributes that goes with becoming a top defender ........  and I haven't even mentioned he passes the ball like Neil Ruddock ...

Flanagan v City

Kin'el he's done fantastically well but lets not go OTT about it.

As for your opinion on Kuyt, feck me, it's as clear as mud that 'match goers'  don't prosper in anyway shape or form whether you're stuck behind a google box or not. You've completely blown that myth out of the water, well done you. Please don't tell  me how the whole of the KOP felt about Kuyt's game, you've been caught out a couple of times already telling porky pies.

I care not a jot what a rotund beaut like you believes ,but I will say there's a reason you keep getting banned ....your a grade A ****    Anyway Keep fishing ....although I dont believe you will ever catch one as big as you .... Your a WHOPPER Lad

Okay Mr KOP'S spokesperson

Whopper? now that's ironic coming from a habitual bulls.hitter.

Shut it Rolaaaand  Your just a mouth Lad

EDIT: Apologies for taking this thread off track, if people want to go over the top about Flannagan well that's their prerogative,

He's done excellently well but to call him the 'best FB' in the prem after a short period of time is a bit far fetched to say the least.

However as Ola Benitez has said..... I agree with, lets wait and watch this kid develop before putting him on some pedestal.

Deary me
How did a thread about one of the highlights of this dreadful season because of a most promising young newcomer descend into this?

Hmmm?

Listen if you want to magnify and blow my mistake out of all proportion  (Because that's what sad beauts like you do ) you go ahead ,me personally I will simply put it down to my eagerness in getting my post in writing and my forgetfulness in my advancing years .....As for never stepping foot inside Anfield well that is taking it a touch too far (but then that's what you do isn't it  )  I am not going to justify your sad existence or fathom why you target certain things ..... I think its plain for all to see  the deep loathing we have for each other Lad ,so for the sake of this descending into a display of our obvious animosity towards each other I will draw a line ....R Oland :D

Very good start to his career.. very good indeed. He is not the best full back in the league.. what we have is a smashing lad with a bucketload of potential.

He is still very raw and needs to be managed and coached well over the next few seasons. I hope he will emerge as a world class player in his position, but I accept this may not happen. Lets not go bigging the lad up too much, he does not need the expectation and the pressure.

What is certain is then now he will be allowed to enjoy his football and the club is in the right place to nuture him and bring him on. That in itself is cause for celebration.. he would have never got a sniff under Rafa.

Some people are more cautious than others.
Some highlight the negatives before the positives.
Shout away lad
We've all got our fingers in our ears anyway
