LIVERPOOL FC have made a shock move to sign Coventry City's Conor Thomas on loan until the end of the season, according to reports.

BBC Sport reports that the 17-year-old has agreed to move to the Premier League giants until May.

And Sky Sports says that the move made be made permanent at the end of the season - with a £1m price-tag being mooted.

Thomas made his first Coventry City start on Saturday in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat against Birmingham City and has been regularly monitored by Anfield scouts.

Welcome Conor  :buttrock

It would be funny if this kid turns out to be better than Torres, Suarez or Carroll in a few years time.

Ironic in the sense that all the headlines where about these 3 today and he was overlooked as news.

Hmm... in my 2016-17 FM11 game, he transferred from Coventry to Dag & Red in 2015 for.... £500. He has played a total of 62 league games, with 9 assists and 6 goals.

Therefore: WHAT IS KENNY THINKING??

:D

I was talking about how good he can potentially turn out to be, NOT comparing him with other strikers or playing in that position FFS.  :upside:

honestly dont know mate, he started their recent FA cup match with Birmingham i think it was and also plays for England at that level so he is clearly someone who is a good player now at that level.

Just because of his age doesn't mean he's not good enough. I watched a DFB Pokal game last week (German Cup) and a 17 year old came on for Schalke 04, scored the winner, cool as you like, with 5 mins to go. Draxler I think his name was.
If you're good enough, you're old enough.

Julian Draxter is gonna be a great player, Comoli should go have a look.
