How much money each club puts down on players is extremely easy to check out. It has been clearly reported that the club is spending less than (forget city and manure) Everton and Brighton during the owners entire tenure at the club.
Just disingenuous to even suggest that is not the case.
So the owners have invested have they? WHAT A JOKE!
They have made a ton of cash in the last couple of years from the CL. But I guess you need sources that clubs that go to the finals in the CL makes insane amounts of money.
WHERE IS THAT REINVESTMENT? it sure as hell isn't on players when Brighton has a higher net spend than us. Stadium? Oh, right the new stadium that never will be....
The club made over 250 MILLION in revenues from just competitions last season. Profits was over 125 million in 17/18. My guess is maybe even better last season.
I know where that money has gone and it sure isn't to the club...

:no  absolutely clueless
every Liverpool fan/supporter should give thanks to these owners and bless the they came to this club and saved us from the abyss...the transformation is astounding and should be the template for all clubs to follow

:nod  :nod

Thanks FSG for taking good care of our club and hiring Klopp

Well said Metal, FSG have been model owners. The icing on the cake will be if the Annie Rd stand expansion goes through as promised after a 12 month delay. Great stewardship.

Liverpool are the first Premier League champions to spend less than £10million on transfers in the season they won the league for nine years, having shelled out just £8.6million during their title-winning campaign.

The Reds wrapped up the 2019/20 title - their 19th league success overall but a first in the Premier League era - when Chelsea beat their closest challengers Manchester City at Stamford Bridge last Thursday.

That led to wild celebrations among the squad, who were gathered together to watch the game back on Merseyside.

Among their number was the Japanese attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino, who the Reds spent £7.25million on in January, and the young defender Sepp van den Berg, who was signed from Dutch side PEC Zwolle for £1.35million last summer.

The pair - who have only made five Premier League appearances between them this season, all Minamino's - are the only two players Liverpool have spent money on in the past year.
Goalkeepers Adrian and Andy Lonergan also arrived on free transfers, while Harvey Elliott's fee has yet to be determined as Fulham will take the Reds to a tribunal over a price for the youngster.

That makes Liverpool's title winning season the least expensive - in terms of transfer fees, at least - since Manchester United won the league in 2010/11 having spent just £6.3million that campaign, according to Premier League Productions.

Sir Alex Ferguson brought in the likes of Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez that summer ahead of clinching his 12th and penultimate Premier League title.

Since that time every other Premier League winner has spent over £60million, bar Leicester's £27.3million in 2015/16.

Liverpool's low fees go alongside their incredibly meagre net spend during Jurgen Klopp's time in charge to paint a healthy transfer picture at the club.

As detailed by The Athletic, at a total of £92.4million the Reds' net transfer spend over the last five years is much less than the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Watford.

Over the same period, Manchester City's net spend is some £505.6million and Manchester United's is £378.9million.

Always forgotten in times of celebration but a simple thank you for providing the platform for Klopp and his team to propel themselves to greatness

Took us on when we were at our lowest , there have been some highs and lows during their tenure , they have made mistakes but have attempted to rectify them , they have listened to the fans and they have shown they are all in . The club is able to stand on its on two feet

Congrats to FSG as well

Yes well done FSG for having the vision and desire to succeed. Sorry to be pedantic Lallana but FSG have done one hell of a lot more than simply attempting to rectify their mistakes !!

When you also factor in things like us only qualifying for the CL once in the 7 seven years before Jurgen arrived and him having to sell arguably our best player at the time (Coutinho) not to mention inheriting a fan base with a propensity to go home if we were 1 down with 10 minutes to go it just highlights the incredible job Jurgen has done.
And yes FSG have also done a fantastic job, as mentioned they have made mistakes, some big ones actually, but when you have saved the club from a pair of carpetbagger’s, saved the soul of the club by deciding to stay at our spiritual home, brought back the holy grail to the club after 30 long years, won our 6th European Cup and brought a Shankly-esque figure to the club in Jurgen (all done in an era of super powerful financially doped rival clubs) it’s impossible to say anything else really. All achieved from the ridiculously low base of taking over a club in turmoil and 2 days away from administration.
Mistakes or not history loves a winner, John Henry saved the club, saved the soul of the club, brought the best manager in world football to the club and delivered the 2 biggest prizes in club sport to L4, he will go down as a legendary figure at this club in his own right. Wether it happens now or way off in the future there will either be a statue or a gate or something named after him, i 100% guarantee it, and to be fair with a CV like that he deserves it.

Agreed and the biggest thing and probably the most important thing, he brought back belief to the supporters. It is great to support the best club in the world.

So they don't sell LFC as an entity, but a 25% of the holding company instead?

From what I can tell nothing would change for LFC? We would still be 100% owned by FSG but RedBall would become the the 2nd biggest shareholder in FSG behind John Henry.

Agree and they must be aware of how LFC's fan base would feel about it. Rick Parry really is a little sh!t.

Yep, wasn’t sure what this was all about but I’ve just seen a statement on Sky from a group representing the fans of the big six clubs, looks like this thing is a blatant power grab disguised as an effort to help out lower league clubs. The statement was pretty scathing.
Us and United obviously want to play the roles of Real Madrid and Barca in another uncompetitive joke of a league, as if there aren’t already enough of them across Europe.
Fair dues to you mate you called it out early (yesterday) when everyone else still seemed to be making their minds up. Everyone is slagging the idea off now, apparently even the government.
